1. botting, Stupid point. Not a good enough reason to keep away a huge community of players.
2. only pay the price the item is worth to you. Most people got scammed because they were overeager to accept a deal that would have been taking advantage of the scammer. like unreal prices, and deals that look too good to be true.
3. totally changed? how much of the game content is in the wilderness? aside from pking very little.
4. most people made pkers so they could have fun doing it with little risk to their main's wealth.
5. lol, no we want a community of intelligent gamers who look before they leap and have the simple to ability to judge risk's
6. it's not about player killing, it's about taking risk's for a reward, and about the thrill of competition. If you don't understand this then how can you know what we're talking about?
your points are terrible, and you obviously refuse to acknowledge that there are two sides to this coin, and your's is far lighter than ours....

I played this game from 2002 til 2007 nearly every day, yes sad, but i virtually did, I quit when wilderness and free trade got taken out. Not because i cheated, because i liked the risk with no restrictions, i liked going to the wildy and having a chance of getting killed, its kill or be killed, get used to it, as for rwt, everyone knows there will always be ways around it, so you might as well let the majority have what they want.
i voted yes.

1) What proof do you have to say that there will be more bots? Back in 2006 the methods for catching them were different to the methods developed since then by JaGeX and as such it is therefore wrong to assume simply that they are either incompetent or stupid - as they would not put the issue up for vote if they could not handle the problem. They've acknowledged like we already know now that botting will continue so long as the incentive exists, but they are continually combatting it. You are in no position to comment on bots because you don't have any inside information here and you're making blind hypothesis.
2) Items removed from the trade screen come up with a rather large exclamation mark, further more the second screen shows the item in written form, with another exclamation mark for any alterations made within the trade. The prices are relative to supply and demand, so of course these items will perhaps go up - but they are fair prices to pay as they are what someone is willing to pay. Grand Exchange is simply what we're told to pay and merchant clans have far too much control over prices as is widely known. Whilst people don't deserve to be cheated they do have a responsibility to look after ones own, thus I yet again dismiss your argument here.
3) The game was fine long before the wilderness was removed. The idea that it is now going to be catastrophic change to the way the game is shaped is absolutely absurd. Further to that, anyone complaining about the abyss should know fine well that it is there because of the wilderness - the idea being if you want the quick leveling you take the risks involved with the benefits.

4) People who PK take these risks according to their own preference. Further to that, with the return of the free trade there is also the return of staking - or so I would imagine. Thus if you're not prepared to lose what you take in, this is a healthy alternative. People are also bound by the level constraints of the wilderness - though I would assume (hopefully) that you know this.
5) The community before 2007 was quite pleasant actually. For you to make this kind of accusation is quite frankly fabrication. You have no grounds for which you can honestly defend this point.
The forums were busy with people buying and selling, community events were more popular than they are now and the forums were also a place where you could reliably seek help as they were far more frequently visited than post 2007.
Nobody is saying people deserve to be cheated - the point being made is that we can only babysit people so much without it being to the detriment of the wider community. At the moment this community that you speak of is a highly independent one, where people are far more accustomed to keeping themselves to themselves.
Anyone trying to bait you whilst skilling can easily be ignored - though it was not frequent pre-update.
6) The construction of all these different things is the difference here. Bounty worlds are rotten from a personal perspective. I tried one but they were confusing and the rewards did not match the effort made as far as I am concerned. The old wilderness was something simple that could be enjoyed by friends and the rewards were equally straight forward where you were able to take everything from the cold, lifeless corpse of your opponent.
Castle wars rewards are strictly limited and duel arena was changed by the update.

The game is meant to be a challenge whilst retaining it's fun, not a creche.

I seriously do not understand why people are so against the wilderness. When I played back in the day I had ton of friends who simply skilled. If one did not want to enter the wilderness one did not have to. There is no rule in R* that says one must enter the wilderness and risk items. Jagex already said that they would certain aspects in the wilderness out so they are safe for everyone. That means people who would like to partake in certain activities that were located in the wilderness can still and not risk anything.
I loved edgy pking. For 5-10 minutes during the fight one has such a rush that it is worth losing items over. It was also a blast watching other pkers 1v1. It was a lifestyle.

Fred you should not whine! Do you know how many people play Private servers just to PK? If someone gets scammed ofcourse its their fault! They should be more careful, and if they get scammed, they will be more careful next time... Personally I have gotten scammed in wildy in 2004 off my santa hat, but they were cheaper than full zamorak. even party hats were more cheaper. LOL. Im like one of the first people to ever play Runescape, I have even seen Party Hat manipulation in RS CLASSICS... and considering the time in 2003-2011, many people have left Runescape because PKING WAS TAKEN AWAY FROM THEM... As I said, its little kids like you who have destroyed runescape with their whining and JAGEXS fault for listening to them...
