:) .

WARNING:
There is a new account called @PmodMaxRS which are tweeting up that you can apply for P-Mod status.

Jagex will NEVER contact you about that in game/email or via any other social media website, they will only do so via your message center inbox.

More about P-Mods can be found at the Player Moderators page.

Help everyone one of us by re-tweeting it and letting others know to report and block them.

New account: @rs_gives
The method is that this account is "giving away" some money, and you need to RT or Fav the tweet, however when they pick a winner they give also the phishing link.

Also is replying other people's tweets telling them that they have won items.

edit: it was already on the list, sorry.

NEW fake account:
@JagexJamess

The difference with this one, it has a extra ' s ' - They are claiming that they are Mod James and are offering Player Moderator status.

The real two official J-Mod James are: @Jagex_James AND @JagexJamesH shown in the J Mods on Twitter wiki link.

Jagex will always contact you about that only via your message center inbox, never via email or in game or on a social media website.

More about Player Moderators can be found by visiting the page:

Player Moderators (Click Here)

Retweet, and tweet and spread the word to everyone else as much as you can so they are always fully aware, along with reporting and blocking them aswell :) .

Edit: @JagexRoran has changed his name from @CatherbyOSRS - Then they changed it to something the same, but a one letter difference as it is now @JagexRotan So that's who that is.

Hey all.

New account: @RsPmod

A account that has been created up by the looks of it just not along ago, offering Player Moderator status, How can you help? Report and block and give as many a heads up about it.

Jagex never invite or offer that off-site or in game and by email, only will do so by your account message inbox center via your account settings.

More can be found about P-Mods by the Player Moderators wiki page.

Edit: @JagexHelpJoe is yet another one, a unofficial helper account so do not follow or listen to what they tweet, more on volunteers can be found
here.

Also a latest new one is: @modmarcus they are also a one to avoid at all times.

There is a way to solve this problem. If jagex had a runescape twitter page that would be fine and they do. However every jmod has a twitter account too, is that even necessary? Just get rid of all the jmod twitter accounts and have them re create the accounts as a normal user, and not affiliated with the runescape twitter page in any way.

Jagex could then say on there twitter page that no jmod has a twitter account and anyone that has a so called account would right away be able to be be identified as a lurer/scammer/phisher ect.

As it is right now, it allows anyone to create and account and make it look like an jagex employee account, and that's what people are doing. Since theirs no way to police it, except on your own forums ironically maybe you should think of a different way on approaching the community. Your own forums. Your own website.

Hey all.

We have 2 NEW following accounts to defiantly avoid, and to give a heads up about on Twitter and everywhere where it is possible to stop anyone from falling from it, the first account i am going to list they are offering free RuneFest tickets to their followers which is just a trick into making you give them your account information.

@RuneFestRS
@Binded_Fate

The official Jagex Twitter Runefest account is
@RuneFest
, and for more information on buying tickets for the real event to come it can be found via the RuneFest News page.

Just remember, to report and block them also :) .

Ran into an old one.
I'm not sure if you have seen @ModMatK.
This one is still active. :|

It's a phishing account; offering free bonds via a phishing link.
-=RuneScape and RuneFest veteran=- (20 Year Veteran cape, when?)
Whenever there is a discussion between RS3 and OSRS; remember Classic tops RS and OSRS. ^_^
