I agree that the error is 100% on Jagex but allowing the 101+ players keep their title is an insult to the 1-100 who actually put the time in and earned it. The 101st players should get nothing, but as Jagex already gave them something, they can make up for it by giving them spins/runecoins/loyalty points/membership/t-shirts/concept art/ anything other than the title.

lol, the 101st person probably put in nearly as much effort as the hundreth. its not like the 101st did nothing at all

Well I wouldn't agree to any future event giving this title myself. It should be exclusive to this event only in my opinion. Or else why even bother getting now when there's always next year? Next year maybe there can be something different.

And by the way, to everyone earlier getting as defensive as you are and taking what I said completely the wrong way. I didn't say just give it out to all sorts of people, but the small potentially however many people accidentally got it due to being just short of the top 100 I don't see as a huge deal. If you got the title and believed you made it, only to have it stripped away, could be quite upsetting I'm sure. I know I wouldn't be too happy.

Then again maybe we're also just wasting our time even debating possible options and stating our opinions about it, because Jagex have probably already made up their minds. A Jmod did in fact say what they were going to do about this situation, but then again it wouldn't be the first time a mob of players complain to get their way.

Sorry, I edited it as you were making your post. I don't like discontinued content. But the basic idea of my edit is that you would work to earn the next title in the Easter series. If you win 1 contest you get eggcellent, if you win 2 then you get a new title, etc.

You're right, it doesn't effect you. So let's make 150 get the title! How exciting for those extra 50! I know they all put a lot of hours and effort into trying to get into the top 100! Such a shame for some people to fall so short.

There are so many options though if they want to go the special titles for multiple wins. Next year if you already have the egg-cellent you could get the egg-stravagent, the eggs-e*plary, the egg-ceptional.

So there's no need to eggs-clude anyone from earning this one in the future, they can give those of us who win 2 competitions a higher tier title to show off, and let anyone who wins one competition get egg-cellent

I honestly see nothing wrong with bringing this event back next year with the same title - as long as the mods this time make some changes such as shortening the time frame down from 2 weeks to 1 and also having a good scoreboard implemented this time.

So what if the title comes back? it won't lose that much prestige since it is only another 100 people will be able to get it and not like 10k-20k. Also it gives those another chance who have worked hard to get into the top 100 but didn't make it within there.

The beta title is given to those who give feedback while testing content and that stays there when beta opens every time. I don't see people who have already obtain that title complaining about not bringing that title back when the beta closes.

And also what Helring said. If you are worried about losing prestige from your title, they can always like make some higher tier title of that version for you lot. Also they can make a new competition with a new title in the second week while in the first week have this run again. There is many solutions and ideas for this so you get the point.

Good morning,

So the data has been given to me once again, and it turns out that roughly 30 minutes of data was missing from some of yesterday's scores.

In that respect we have decided to award the title to anyone who should have been in the top 100 yesterday and wasn't due to a clerical error! This leads me to adding 2 names to the list of winners!

So I am pleased to say that Raw Potato & Frisky have been added to the list of winners!

As I was only given the data for the few players who's sessions were missing, I cannot post another table I'm afraid.
