This might have been said before (and i'm not trawling through 56 pages of random stuff to find out), but you don't need to be wearing your Ring of wealth until you open the chest. This means you can wear a stat boosting ring or a ring of life while you're actually fighting the brothers.
Also, ancients (or some crazy bind/slayer dart combo) can be absolutely hilarious against the melee brothers, because they can never hit you. Adition of poisones melee weapon or ranged ammo makes this even more amusing.

Tip 1: If it is possible, start with Dharok. Because then you don't have to worry as much about your Prayer.
Tip 2: When you have slayed all the five brothers, the last one will be inside the tunnels. Make sure to kill all the five brothers before entering the tunnels. Then you know that only one of the brothers will appear.

First of all.....stop using valuable items to lure people....barrows was dead content for a reason...giving away a rare dragon drop (and yes I got 1 from barrows but never from a dragon) is bad for the rs economy and only works for a short time.
The reason why Barrows was and will become dead content again is simple....the overall rewards suck!
Why spend time in something from which most of the rewards is junk?
Make the rewards exclusive and non trade-able so that you have to spend time in Barrows to obtain that item.
For example:
Keep the armors as they are (do read the feedback about the uglyness of them PLEASE) but simply add Barrows boots that degrade and a Barrows Cape of cloak.....exclusive stuff that just finishes the armor in looks and functionality.
Review the current common rewards, ask players for what they consider as junk and what not (several specific polls might and a specific "give your opinion here" thread might help)....not everyone just started this game yesterday you know ;)
Then there is the matter of the Barrows themselves....they are not to tough...thats good!
But...the cb triangle does not function correctly.
For example I did Barrows as a mage and I only had a tough time killing Ahrims while Karil was killed in just a few magic hits.
Then there is the practical use of the armors.
They are all pk based, yet no one uses those armours in the way they originally were meant.
Review the pk purpose and make them useful overall.
For example: Torag, Ahrim and Karil are only used for their armour stats but not for their set effect as that is pk orientated.
Dharok and Guthan are the only 2 that actually are being used for their set effect.
As for Akrisae...its to new for me to judge about that.

What would make me go and do Barrows actively.
1) exclusive non trade-able rewards that finishes the armour off, like degrade-able Barrows boots, Barrows cape, Barrows Necklace (with teleport to the Barrows)...etc.
2) the set effect having use on npc's as well as on fellow players.
3) less crappy rewards.
