Nice to see how many players hate RuneScape but still have a membership. ;)

Sometimes, I think most of these guys complain just because it's trendy. I don't think they legitimately hate this game (otherwise, I'd say they're rather masochistic).

Whip it ! Whip it good ! XD

That a reference of an old music called whip it, check it on youtube if you want.

Not hate, just disappointed with the direction it has taken the past couple years, as well as how they've treated us.

Hah! Haven't heard that song in years. Thanks for the memories, pal!

@Skyman66:
RS is simply doing what any other MMO would: it is changing the way it's played. Whether for better of worse, MMOs have to keep changing things up, otherwise it'll leave itself to dry in the long run. And these kind of changes will leave a significant impact on the gamer's experience (hence the polarization that comes with these updates). And believe it or not, this game is heading in a desirable direction. All the changes that today's players are complaining about now are features that yesterdays's players have been craving. So it really isn't correct to say that Jagex isn't listening. Even if the majority of forum users disagree with this game, I've seen so many players in others communities that do agree with it. And personally, I have never had as much fun playing RS now as I have in the old days. It is just so much more enjoyable with its rich interface, the glorious new combat system, that certain ease that comes with certain features like the toolbelt, teleport system, and other such things. I mean, really, I used to get extremely frustrated whenever I tried to make something work, and it was always a bummer if I didn't have a law rune or a tinderbox with me when I needed it the most. And how about that gold pouch, eh? Gosh, you wouldn't believe how convenient that is for me! But that's just how it is. If you don't like change, I would highly advise that you don't play any MMO for more than a year. Especially RS too (it's unbelievable how much this game evolves).

I feel sorry for the good developers and Jmods who put a lot of time and effort into the game but fro what their boss tells them to.

It's become a Content Vs Idiot who want's RS in his image war and because of that sadly I cannot vote for Jagex.

Remove the Liar CEO & The lead content designer and I would vote because I wouldn't have had to go through all the trauma from having memories spat on

You know, I understand your disappointement but...I don't know how to see that (Im from french server)...

This night, I read an article about Andrew Gower and why he left Jagex. Andrew Gower was the fondator of Jagex and he fighted a LOT against the bots at point to delete the free trading and the wilderness pvp. He lefts since 2011 because he had enough of Jagex. So, its why Jagex is different now. I know its different since 3 or 4 years but hey...Its like a transition. You can't make good stuff at the beginning if you just start with something new. Everyone can't be happy of these changes and everyone can't be mad for it. But if you want to trust somebody in Jagex...Trust mod Osbourne. He's the senior narrative designer of RuneScape. If you don't like Jagex ( most of persons don't like Mod Mark...), at least, trust him. I am a quester since my account was created (2006-2007) and I am so happy to see all the gods ( I don't see Zaros since Temple at Senntisten, unfortunately...)

Gower left Jagex to develop Fen Studios, an idea that has been on his mind years before he left, that very article I ran into, however it was from someone else's opinion, not Andrew himself.

I don't mind change, and I don't think you can use the card of "change is better." It's definitely not guaranteed to be better; it's entirely subjective. The change of free trade, wildy, and staking removed was a huge blow to the game, yet it still had less complaining than now. To add insult to that, less people play now than they did then.

I shake my head every time there is a behind the scenes these days. A lot of people would say things like "wow 2 quests in 2 months!" and commenting on how many updates there were. Back in jagex' prime (for us older players), they easily had a quest every month, sometimes 2. The updates these days are miniscule and few and far between. It seems like they put all their effort into spins and solomons store updates, weekly.

If you didn't want the game RS was, then why didn't you go try one of the hundred of other cookie cutter MMO's that have had these 'evolutionary features' for years and have them perfected? It's not revolutionary. Runescape is still a primitive game, and will never be as cutting edge or in the same field as the competition; It merely became a half ass version of the standard cookie cutter MMO, that offers majority of it's content through the addition of skills, which are repetitive clicking. People act like the combat was so bad, well, the rest of the game is the same damn thing. So, it makes ZERO sense when people say 'I didn't do combat cause I didn't enjoy it, but skilling was so much fun!'

There wasn't any desire to have a playable game for me with the release of EoC. Momentum wasn't an answer, nor was 07'. I voted against Jagex, cause I've played pretty much all of the games on that list while trying to find a replacement to what this game offered, and I voted for the best, and the one I felt the developers actually listened to the players the most.

This game took a good 120 days on this account, and 450 days on my main, but that's completely gone. If they would have left pre-eoc servers, I'd have no complaints, still, even if they weren't updated. I had that much content left, and the replay value of certain activities/skills was good enough that I would have still been consistently playing. The RSC to RS2 transition was pretty perfect. I got to move on WHEN/IF I wanted. That's how it should have been done.
