Laurazal:

One last question for Mod John A -- first the cave goblin series, now Forgiveness of a Chaos Dwarf. Do you think you're being typecast as the 'underground dwelling races' quest guy? :)

---

Haha, there are worse things to be typecast as :)

One of the things I knew I had to do when I started on the dwarves was make sure the dwarves and goblins were different from one another. They've both got underground cities, but they're very different approaches to how those cities might turn out.

"1) id like to know if there is any posibility that our players could be majhaarat?
2) do you guys think that you will ever add a ******** to enter the poh(not on construction mode)
3) Do you think you might release a quest in which we might be able to play as zaros,
4) when will you guys implement voices into the game?
5) don't you think its about time for gnomes to get their chat heads reworked?
6) When will trees get an update?"

1 & 3: We've tended to treat your character as being YOU. Giving you some major role in the back-history of RuneScape that you didn't actually experience would break that.

2. I think it'd be a bit annoying if we did that. But maybe the costume room could have a PIN.

4. Voice samples ain't cheap, and once you've got them you can't change the text anymore without getting new recordings. I don't expect to see voices throughout the game.

5. YES. And the Graphics team started already. I think they all got moved onto other projects though, such as Dungeoneering.

6. I know Graphics wanted to do that a while back, but they've not really had that kind of spare time.

5.)do you guys actuly play the quests yourselfs on non maxxed accounts? or you guys just have instant 99s and are able to run through easy quests with ease.

6.)how long does an avrage quest take to make. and do you really enjoy it or is it just what you do for money

---

5) We can give ourselves instant 99s in our test environment, and that's what I do if I want to see a quest quickly. Some developers play the game for fun as well using ordinary accounts.

6) A few months, as I've said. Some of the time I enjoy it and some of the time it's a bit of a slog, like any job I guess.

Red Flame:

I think Mod Ash worked on a troll quest so... When will you launch the troll graphic update?

---

Actually I'm going to answer this. The current plan (I don't know 100% this will happen) is for the troll rework to go out with the next dwarf quest. Because the next dwarf quest also involves trolls!

"2. will there be amonkey madness/rfd awowogei sequel coming out soon?
4. is there going to be a sequel to my arm's big adventure that is just as funny?
8. finally, why didn't you make the wise old man evil..."

2. Not soon, no, but the storyline needs continuing. So one day it'll have to be done. The slightly embarrassing truth is that the code for Monkey Madness is so blinkin' complicated that no-one dares go near it.

4. Mod Mark is keen to use My Arm again. I certainly hope that whatever gets done with him will be funny, and I'm glad you thought My Arm's Adventure was funny :-)

8. He's pretty darn evil already! He robbed a bank and killed a girl for her hat. But that's... an interesting idea you've got there.

5) You're working on the new Red Axe quest at the moment. How difficult will the quest be compared to, say, Monkey Madness or MEP 2 in terms of combat and puzzles?

---

Easier. Not many quests are as hard as Monkey Madness or MEP 2.

"If the WOM gets nervous when I talk about Zaros or the Mahjarrat, how come he's going out with someone who uses Ancient Magicks and is wielding a staff with a Zaros symbol on it?"

He knows she doesn't take it seriously. (You can ask her about her religious tendencies if you like.) You, on the other hand, are rather more likely to get heavily involved with scary things like Zaros returning. Ahem.

Also, he may well be blinded by love.

3- do you plan on adding more "group quests" like heros quest and shield of arrav?

---

3) We're not planning this, no. I personally don't think the 'group quests' work very well. The game engine just isn't well suited to it. I'd rather write quests with companion NPCs.

"3.) Will the next quests have higher requirments(please say yes!)
5.)do you guys actuly play the quests yourselfs on non maxxed accounts? or you guys just have instant 99s and are able to run through easy quests with ease.

7.)can we have pet mods? that wear lil gold crowns and say random runescape rules??? thats a good reward"

3. At the moment we seem to be focusing on the Void Knight storyline, which does not have particularly high requirements. But in future there will definitely be more high-level quests.

5. My personal account is level 118 with a skill total of 1951. I've done most quests on it, including my own quests, but there are quests I can't do.

6. A few weeks of coding, but the project can go on for months as one waits for colleagues to do their bits, approve things, assist with things, produce graphics, etc.

7. You want a little one of me? Oh dear.

4) An interesting question: What update(s) or changes are YOU dear Jagex developers looking forwards to, if there are any such? maybe a big project on hand?

---

I am excited about anything to do with the Signature Heroes, and I'm also excited about some things that we haven't even hinted about yet so I will say no more!
