Does anyone else feel like they've lost out on game window space? I don't know why but it just feels smaller, to compact, bleh..

I don't like how the chat is hard to fit in with combat, unless you want to sacrifice so much space :(

In my opinion, the winning interface is not very practical. Far too many chatboxes. In my opinion just two would've been nice. Also, splitting an interface is not a good idea. You see, it's easier when you can absorb all of your necessary information with one glance at one part of the screen. However, this interface makes it compulsary to look left, right and below. This makes it harder to use.

And so, I think the runner-up should be the winner, because he's packed it all into the bottom. This may be hard to use at first, however it becomes very practical once you're used to it.

Also, will there be another competition in the future? You do not know how much I want members but unable to buy it due to other issues ;-;
They seem to run 'contests' of this nature approximately twice a year, at least. Your best bet is to keep watching the forums and the websites news page.

A forum mod wins a jagex competition? That doesn't stink of foul play much.

Shouldn't there be a rule saying that forum mods, pmods and jmods shouldn't be allowed to enter?

Also, I hate the design, as do most of the people here. I have to question, who actually chose it as the winner? can't have been the players who will be the ones actually using it. Nice concept having everything so organised, but it's a little TOO organised and takes so much space away from the game screen. For this reason, I would have actually supported winner no. 2 to be the winner.

wow.. i've been offline for a few days but when i came to look at this thread i didnt expect to experience such disappointment. the winner is so unpractical, if youre going to be so chat focussed im sure 1 larger chat box similar to what we have now would have been fine.. why would you want to hide 40% the screen? especially with the new graphics.

i think all mods are only answering what they want to answer because 95% of the comments (negative of course) are being ignored, not only on the RS site either.

well thats just the opinion im entitled to, ill say congratulations for being chosen TE, but not on your design. Bres, yours offers a lot more IMO. :)

ps. i didnt enter this competition either, so im not bitter. just very disappointed.

I play on a laptop and I've found that so many windows greatly reduced the playing field - I prefer a clean screen - so... I combined all of my windows into one by dragging them into one main container with the exception of the minimap and the two bars. As I get used to the new containers I'll figure out what I need most often and try to work those onto the screen for easy access. Personally I think I'll be trying to copy the current game layout as much as possible, everything is exactly where it should be :)

Overall I don't think anyone needs to be worried, the interface appears to be fully customizable according to your needs. The most important thing I've found on the NIS version is the Escape Key brings up the Edit Interface button so you can move the containers around and it also contains the log out button.
