Inb4 the first fishing site is posted
Really disappointed about how you're now all of the sudden allowed to post links on the forum.
They're .jpg urls, and they're not full urls at that. One must be willingfully typing in the address at their own risk. So, it's entirely the user's choice to engage the link. People that think everything should be nannied is the reason for police states - take responsibility for your own actions, then judge others for theirs.

I dislike them both. Why did they win lol?
Perhaps JAGeX should consider announcing contests in the BTS videos, along with specific parameters and guidelines for what they're more closely looking for. Announcing winners in a later BTS video with explanation of why they chose theirs would be great as well.

All submissions were sent via email and neither silver or green crown's appear in an email. The winner was selected on the entry itself, not who sent it. We totally get it if you don't agree with the winner but claiming some kind of conspiracy is insulting to the winner and benefits no one.
We have nothing to gain from a 'rigged' contest. We ran this competition to give our players something to enjoy and encourage their creativity. If we had already chosen a winner or only wanted to give it to certain people we wouldn't have run the competition in the first place.
By all means disagree with the decision but keep it constructive.
This isn't entirely true. People just don't trust alot of corporations, and JAGeX is a corporate entity that doesn't do the greatest in the PR department, but also isn't completely inept at it either. I don't believe any conspiracy took place (this time at least) - perhaps more 'random' drawing type contests should occur at an even ratio with competetive contests as well, to help disolve this notion in the future. Just a thought.

^ I really like Noble Bunny's and Anarchy Time's layouts, those horizontal windows in the middle is something I hadn't thought of. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah very disappointed to see the winner's entry is not at all efficient. It's for bank sitting chat oriented people, not for someone who does actual content.
At least the runner up one is playable.
The winner's looks very hastily designed and not even precisely aligned, with no consideration given to maximizing space or field of view for actual gaming. Seriously devs, what we're you thinking?
Thankfully we're not stuck with it. Waste of a preset slot though.
What's the use of all you people complaining?
you can make your own interface the way you like anyway, jagex just picked one they liked the most!
De gustibus et coloribus non disputandum est.
Congratulations to the winner!

It's kind of upsetting that these won.
#8, #9, #20 and #22 were very good at minimizing space taken by the interfaces. They gave you what was required without blocking out the screen too much. They gave you as much viewing as there could be without it being inadequate.
I suppose these are functional, but do not optimize gameplay as much...
Congratulations, nevertheless..
Hey guys (and especially mod Crow (because I got a little angry with him) and TechEngineer),
I think I'd better apologize for my previous posts.
The NIS competition was perhaps one of the best ideas ever,
I want to thank Jagex for the competition.
The winner is just... Not what I expected at all.
And with that I mean that I totally understood this whole competition wrong.
I thought that we were to design an interface which everyone could use.
And not to just give mods ideas about certain aspects we like or dislike about the interface. (That should be more clear in a next competition!)
After days of waiting (in tension) I was expecting to see a design which has been thought about.
And then I see this. It is totally not what I thought had been asked for.
Which made me a little angry. So many days to decide and yet so "random" (meaning that it has a focus on only one aspect instead of all aspects)
In my angryness I started writing, expressing my thoughts.
At the moment I see that indeed I have been quite offensive at some points. I'm sorry for that. I still don't think that I will ever have a use for the winners interface, but TechEngineer, I'm sorry for my reaction. I really attacked you while you didn't deserve it. Sorry. And really don't take what people say about your design too personal. I'm sure that, when reading these post, you have felt some pain in your stomach. It's two factors: 1. People were hoping that their design would be chosen and are jealous 2. in this case a lot of people understood the competition wrong, like me.
Again, sorry for my reaction, but for now:
Lets play Runescape!
