This competition was about seeing what designs our community could come up with and giving them to members of the New Interface team to review. They really liked the concept of TechEngineer's Social focused interface and that's why they won.

I'm sorry that you wouldn't have chosen the winner but with an interface focused around true customisation it's inevitable that different people would have different feelings about what interface they would like. Our team selected the winners and this will not be changing.

You can choose the interface you want to have when the system fully launches, or play around with one that works for you in the beta. You don't have to choose one of the presets.

Though the choices from the Jmods who chose the winners was really questionable... I dont really care about who wins or loses. I'm just ready for HTML5, RS3, NIS, and everything else to come out. It's alot of work i know. Just ready for the new interfaces so grinding skills wont be so harsh in some terms.

Was the entries submitted after midnight but before Mod Rocket's post taken into consideration as well? Would you consider allowing more presets made by players in the future, or will this be the only one (possible two)?

I don't really understand how the winner received lifetime membership for such a basic and predictable layout

was expecting something that used more of a variety of modules to take full advantage of the new interface but oh well

From what i've heard from various people, and my own opinion, these interfaces look bad ZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZEUSZE

Also, the prizes for the winning interface, really??

Please tell me how 5 minutes of work cluttering a screen is worth the equivalent of hundreds of pounds worth of service. I'm dissapointed. I didn't even submit an entry but even I could see that there were MUCH better designs than the ones chosen. Also, it seems fishy that a bad, winning design just happened to be submitted by a moderator.

I really think Jagex should of had a gallery and let all registered members (not trial accounts) take part in the vote. You would only be allowed to vote once and the reason only members would be allowed to take part is to try to prevent manipulation.

Anyone who was caught trying to buy their way to the top or getting their friends to vote would of been disqualified.

I think a voting system would of had better results.

I didn't take part in the competition but I agree with everyone else the winners layout is cluttered and the winner should of at least been the runner up.

~ This is my opinion and im entitled to it ~

(Also a Mod named TechEngineer...I smell a conspiracy O_o )

My message has been hidden? Really?
An fmod who cannot handle a little criticism... Sad...

Criticism is all well and good. Circumventing the forum rules with thinly veiled offensive language...hmm, not so much.

Do you mean that I used a word with an F in front of "kidding me?"
Then I understand ( Gordon Ramsey uses it all the time, but all right ), but that could have been changed.

If you mean that I really dislike the winners entry and don't hide it,
then, in my opinion, I think that players should have the ability to tell what they think. I made it clear that it is not a personal attack, so I see no reason to hide it. This is my opinion. If I said that I just dislike it, I would be lying. I really really dislike it. And I cannot even understand the choice to make this a winner a tiny little bit.

I'm not talking about Bresmine entry now, of course. That really is a winner. She really earned it. Congratz Bresmine.
