Very accurate.

It's hard to like an interface that doesn't feel like an advancement from what is in the live game right now. I guess I'm just the one who doesn't see the purpose to 4 chatboxes, esp. at the cost of a huge part of the screen.

I take issue with this statement. This new interface, as it stands, does NOT allow me to have the setup I want. I don't have the option of keeping the chat interface the way I have had it for the last four or five years. Split private chat with no borders or tabs, the buttons at the bottom that do everything that I could need. Gone. In its place we have this new terrible cluttered chat interface that does nothing but add the ability to move windows around and re-size them more is not worth the sacrifice of a chat system that has been a great and functional interface for years.

As the NIS stands at the moment, claiming we can have it however we like is a false statement.

These designs are horribly ugly imo. I would not be able to play with either of these. They clog up their screens with interfaces, limiting view. Looks like these were scored based on whether or not the interface filled a side/bottom entirely. I do not expect a single player to use the winning layout. Save yourself some trouble and don't waste space putting the winning layout for all to use. Besides, it takes about 2 minutes to create that layout from scratch. May as well give us a third Custom layout instead.

My interface doesn't cover any of the world at all. ^.^

I edited the world area so that it wouldn't. You can see the bottom of where the viewable, clickable world ends if you look closely at the ability bar. It forces the camera to zoom out a bit on your character and gives you a wide-panning playable space.

I've always resized my RS client in the past to be the wide shape, too. It just works well for me. When I created the design, I wanted to retain the shape of that playable space, and shove the tabs and chats down out of the playable area (since you can no longer click through chat boxes).

The only thing covering even a little bit of the playable world is the top half of the ability bar and the toolbar in the top right corner.

Yikes, I personally think four chatboxes is a bit over-the-top. I can understand that some people play RS mostly for the social aspect (myself included), but it takes up a monumental amount of space just for the sake of not using chat tabs. Of course, it's a matter of personal preference, but it hinders most players in visibility while providing a not-so-significant change in gameplay.

I wasn't really aware you guys were looking for a Hardcore Social set-up :P I have also seen many great set-ups, but they don't seem to be on the Facebook album that was posted, did only some of the submissions make it?

Nevertheless, congrats to the winners! :) I hope some more entries can be considered to become default interface set-ups for when this great update is released, I personally cannot wait!
