I think a voting system would of had better results.

I didn't take part in the competition but I agree with everyone else the winners layout is cluttered and the winner should of at least been the runner up.

Those interfaces on the Facebook page all look like they were mashed together by 12 year olds. They most likely were mashed together by 12 year olds... Some of them look like they were submitted as a joke.

I would very much like to see the ones that were actually half decent looking. With a lot of thought put into them, I've seen 3 posted on the last few pages (4 including both of my own) that are much more accessible, a lot cleaner looking and much more user friendly.

Seeing these submitted entries and looking at the winner and runner up, I am seriously questioning the interface designers level of competence.

I'm sorry you are unhappy that you didn't win Yaralda but attacking the other entries is not going to change anything. It would be unlikely that one single interface set up would have universal support from everyone, our developers chose the ones that appealed to them, it's understandable that others might appeal to you more but that doesn't mean others aren't valuable either.

For this type of thing, I see no reason why you wouldn't let the players vote. There is absolutely no down sides to doing so, and you would have less of this disagreement about the extremely questionable winner. From the feedback here, I really wish you wouldn't add that interface as a preset and even more so, I wish you wouldn't name if after the player. 5 minutes of work for lifetime membership, and a permanent mention of your name in a game? That's just ridiculous. Ok so i am going to give my personal view i have quoted a few other people and commenting on what they said so far but i have not shared my view fully yet.

So i am not upset with the winning layouts they are ''different'' from what i was expecting for the winning two layouts but i am personally upset that my layout was not viewed at all and it leads me to believe there may have been other layouts that could have been viewed as better that were also missed.

I strongly agree with some of the other posts about the layout winner being voted by the community and not the developers as it will become a preset layout for the game. a preset not picked by the majority could be viewed in a bad way as it is being viewed now.

It's not about winning, it's about the usefullness of the default layout. Do you mods really think that half screen covered with chatboxes is really that good? RS is not all about chatting. Shouldn't we be able to enjoy the new graphix?
You should also think about the new players. They might not no how to change those things. Default layout should be simple and balanced between PvM, skilling and chatting.
