Thank you Sylph, I wrote a long essay explaining the user friendly aspects and the avilability of space and other uses of the interface setup.
I am a graphic designer and have been for 4 years, this competition was right up my alley I were expecting to see some good intrerfaces but instead we got this.
I could give you a whole host of reasons why the winner and runner up interfaces are bad, I could give very few why they are good. As most people have already pointed out their interfaces are obtrusive to the gameplay aspects, they make terrible use of space, and they look unappealing to say the least, not to mention they don't even have everything available! Unlike mine.
