Edit: I would love writing articles for the Varrock herald, hence the support, but I really think it shouldn't all be varrock. Maybe have a paper for each major city with articles relating to it and the area around it... Or maybe a paper per ach.diary...?
The options are close to infinite. The question is, who will get to decide what goes in there? Who will edit all those articles? (yes, I volunteer, but that's not the point... I want players to be able to take responsibility for this aspect of the game, or at least PMods...)

I love the type of Runescape newsletters that some of the fansites have, but this one sounds like it would be much more diverse and interesting. How would articles be selected though? Would Jagex go though 100s of submissions each week/ month, or would you find players who would write for the paper multiple times?

I read your first post, and I didn't see anything on there about the stories forum. I think that it's under appreciated, and maybe add some little section to the player newsletter about the forum?
It could concern certain stories that a good majority of people liked, to help get different writers' skills noticed, and to give other RuneScape players something to read every once and a while. ^^

I like the idea but if it's forums only I probably won't read it. Maybe have a link on the side on the main page or something in-game that we can go to for reading it as well as past ones? Overall I do support the idea, sounds interesting.

I love to read, and I am getting better at writing. I personally think this is a great idea, (and my twin brother Amlord1 would be posting here if he wasn't busy with psych homework ;) ... Though his idea of a 499 word epic post might be too much xP )Anyways, I think :
A place where players can post their epic screen-shots(i.e. spectacular KO's, funny pictures and the like) for the community.
A place to congratulate all those who have achieved level 99 skills or reached 200m exp.(Though I am not sure how many players this actually is, and it might become quite a list)
A section for players to post pg rated fan-fiction?(incorporate Runescape characters into novels of their own)
Possibly incorporate postbag and player galleries.
Just a few thoughts! (and only 144 words ;) )
