Essays on the philosophical ideas that the mods explore in their storylines and the world they have created. For example, what are the roles of each of the three major religions? How do the political tensions among the various nations stand in the year 169 of the Fifth Age?
Economic reports. What is the state of the economy? Do the mods have any forecasts? Are there any experts or wannabe experts in economics among the mods?
Developments from players. How have players influenced the ways mods think of Gielinor? What aspects of its lore have they written into the game? (I say this because this is my personal goal, to write a broadly applicable planar theory for Jagex.
)
This is an excellent idea! Thanks, Mod Paul.

Yeah, a community newletter would be cool
I would definitely always read it, I love stuff like that.
I'm not bothered about writing articles myself, but I'd read it, sure
I very much like the sound of this! I would expand Fargrist's idea- it would be really nice if the Varrock Herald was a short summary of the Community Newsletter. It could be in a format like quest books.

I think it would be a good idea, "Classified Ads" and "Story of the week" seems to be interesting, other parts seems to be great too.
I think adding a part that a player write about his/her own experience/opinions of the game would be great.
I quite like this idea. However, how about a mini player blog section where players can write a short 200 word blog on their views of the hot topics of Runescape today and their experiences and views on certain parts of there Runescape experience.
One or two of them could be featured each time and be picked on how constructive and interesting to read they are.
