Here is my personal opinion:
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
It took MMG years to figure out that the publicity stunt of having a "CEO CC" was misleading and did not solve the problem it was intended for - the abyssal gap of understanding between developers and players that keeps growing day by day. Instead the CC was hijacked by lobbyists, e-fame groupies, and power abusers who turned it into a completely unrelated chatting community with self fabricated rules. The CC would've been closed a very long time ago if it was actually monitored by dedicated Jagex staff regularly (which should've been the full implementation of this idea in the first place) to see what was actually going on in it and how things were dealt when complaints were made on the CC threads. There was a complete lack of justice and no sense of accountability.
The community regulars who actually enjoyed staying in the CC doing random stuff should be able to find a new home and I wish them good luck, but the link between this said community and MMG CC was nothing but a myth under common sense and portrayed a false impression to the majority of Runescape players.
Try putting more effort into actual customer support and build company policies that promote more interactivity between community staff and players community ON FORUMS and via customer support options which are close to none.
Don't try to retaliate this with a knee-jerk-defend-the-CC-community reply. I've seen enough posts over the years and there isn't anything anyone expects more than bridging gaps between company staff and player community which is what the CC was originally announced and intended for.

many many people created throw away accounts to put a vote for "yes"
so the poll didnt reflected accurate opinions
the game is getting worse and worse every day, and you know that
free to play worlds are supposed to be "a preview for newcomers" well if im new to the game and i end up in lumbridge crowded whit autotalkers adversing gold for money, and bots making it difficult
id prob leave the game and never get back
IT WAS A BAD DECISION to bring free trade and wild i can barely play the game as it is now
it spoils the point of the game for me and many, i earned my cash and lvls in a legit way, and i feel unfair that you JAGEX
having the tools to stop this for good, allow this

I think the reason why people are so upset by this is because it often seems like the people in charge of certain aspects of the game are completely incompetent.
Therefore, when they see MMG post, they expect him to actually look at the thread again and possibly take feedback (right to the top of the chain). Its disappointing that we have to deal with certain mods (I won't call anyone out) who's decisions and comments seem completely inappropriate.
Kudos to MOD MAT K, though, for having what many others seem to be lacking: the balls to go out and openly talk to the community about the issues at hand.

It doesn't matter if the vote was rigged or cheated or not. Here is what is important.

Andrew/Paul/Constant/MMG/Whoever were completely RIGHT to remove the Wilderness/Free Trade in the first place. It was the correct decision.
Bringing them back was purely to increase revenue, without the understanding of the floodgates it would open.

Kat, refer to my previous post on page 21. Again, who are you to tell people this is not the place? A Jagex mod has deemed it okay to talk about. Can you please stop being so dull, or do you consider yourself above a Jagex mod?
Again, you're now just trying to belittle what I said in my previous post to you.
This thread is under "Community Home". People can talk about the community here and especially after a Jagex mod has deemed it okay to do so.
Telling people to "Shut up" on the forums is stupidity at it's best. You understand everyone is welcome to post and discuss on the forums, right? That's what they're meant for.
I again have to question; are you a bit slow? If anything you're a hypocrite for posting on this thread. A Jagex mod has deemed it okay to discuss and give feedback on RAF here. So, by you going against what he's already deemed okay, you're the one who's derailing this thread by posting nonsense.
Also, trying to insult me with a word I'm positive you don't know the meaning to; as I'm 100% positive you don't know what a CEO of a company is nor do you understand what the forums are used for, nor do you even know what forum this thread is under; leads me to believe you have no idea what ignorant means. I've come to the conclusion you're a bit slow.

You do understand that you've communicated that you have no interest in player feedback by shutting down your fc, whether you intended that message or not. I suspect the reason the fc seemed sabotaged is because players are upset and want to express that in some manner.
If you are actually interested in gaining feedback that is more constructive, you should have done more than sic Mod Mat K on a thread or two as you shut down an avenue of communication after indicating in a published interview that you think negative feedback is trolling.
I don't know why I address this to "you," when I'm quite sure that MMG will not read it.
I wish Jagex the best as it moves beyond its Runescape age and transfers its teams to Transformers.
