Hey guys! :)
I recently started putting together my own Machinima... And yes, it took me 2 hours to gather a minute's worth of action - I suck. Anyway, I would just like to know if ALL RuneScape noises including the combat sounds are protected under JaGeX's copyright, and am I allowed to use ANY RuneScape sound FX in my own videos as long as a claim that all videos are for entertainment purposes only?

Hey guys (specifically Jagex), I'm loving that you let people use your product to express their creativity and create their own media. This is a great thing that more and more companies are doing. Too many of them are trigger happy with cease-and-desists and lawsuits.
I think that allowing people to make their own art from your product is one of the best things you can do. It'll show both that you care about your fan base, and that you are very open to the their input. I think for a great example of this, one should look at the Halo series. Rooster Teeth made the first Halo machinema, and when people found that Microsoft/Bungie didn't sue the stuffing out of them, it spread like wildfire. Now, the developers go out of their way to help the machinema movement along (like allowing you to lower your weapon, and even drop your weapon).
I think that by being so open to this movement, you are giving a gift to your fans, which I believe will keep people coming back for years.

You are allowed to use RuneScape sound FX in your videos as long as you claim that all videos containing this material are for entertainment purposes only. Jagex would have copyrighted the most RuneScape related videos on Youtube if you wouldn't be able to use it. ^_^

i can not upload a voice to windows movie maker it says unknown file or file is not sutible

I don't know what you mean with that last word. For voice files you should use the file extension *.MP3 or *.AVI. After recording your voice file, depends on what program you're using, your voice file extension may be *.VOC. You can use a program like MediaCoder if you want to change your file extension to *.MP3 or *.AVI.

do you guys think you can make your own screen recording program with a thing that allows you to do some basic editing and maby some affects. that can be downloaded for both Windows and Apple? this would really help people who, don't have any programs already, to compete

That could be possible, but it'd take some time to complete and I don't think that anyone wants to spend so much time on a little program. ^_^
Have you ever tried Hypercam, Screenrecorder Gold or Camtasia Recorder (recommend) with an editing program like Sony Vegas and Adobe After Effects? ;)
