So the subject of wars.
Well once upon a time you just went up and declared war on somebody. The Rovins once had to defend Burthorpe from a clan of Void Knights. Clearly that made no sense.
Of course role-play evolves and the good ol' notices came along. I'm all for fair play and giving notice but I also like having everyone fully involved and consenting to the invasion.
Not to rip my good buddy Zentho* but if you would simply turn your eye to the last war I was personally involved in when the Leroux had their short run with Kandarin. When war was declared on him he was going through some irl trouble and simply asked it be pushed back for two weeks. Instead a messy war was forced upon the clan and it ended up with a one-sided series of battles because no one wanted to defend the guy who couldn't currently log on.
So. Overall both systems are bad.
The old system ended in random wars that didn't make a lick of sense.
The new system allows anyone to yell "ooc interactions" to avoid a conflict.
I understand that there seems to be some ooc stuff floating about here so I'm all for ignoring the current war and doing some amazing plotline instead. After all who needs war when there are literally 1000000 other things to do lorewise?
