--(Or Surok Magis had no use for King Roald afterward and released him from the spell. Or did he?) In order to cast this spell, you need a specially made iron wand. Then, with fifteen Chaos runes, you need to head to the Chaos Altar, and then imbue the wand with the runes at the Chaos Altar. Having more than one wand at a time on your person would be considered to be severely overpowered, as a spell that guarantees mind-control of this magnitude is powerful enough. The spell, upon hitting the target, will cause them to be completely under the caster’s control. This is the way to get out of a variety of hard situations, automatically win a duel, etc. The wand needs to be recharged through the same procedure after the spell is cast, so it’s single-use.
If you’re defending against this, simply don’t let it hit you. If your shield isn’t metal, then blocking it with that should be fine since metal is what conducts magic, not wood, dragonhide, etc. If the spell does hit you, then forget it. You’re then under the caster’s control, subject to their commands. There’s no exact guess on what they might do to you, although it could be as simple as making you kill yourself.
Magic: Gnome Magic: Introduction and Information
As shown to a large extent in the Quest “Monkey Madness”, the gnomes are incredible at stealth, to the point they have used their skill, magic, enchantments and devices to be able to infiltrate one of the most well-guarded islands in Gielenor and spy on renegade gnomes plotting a trap at the same time. Quite impressive, and if your character is a gnome or has lived among them for quite some time, you can probably pick up some of their magical spells. However, gnome magic involves items as well, which is something you had best not forget. Gnomes have been shown to have powerful illusory devices, and even items that, with the focus of another magician, effectively alter someone’s appearance, shape and voice.--
