^Yeah, this guide's dying. I *till have my plate armor one floating, and all my other ones I'm too selfish to share.

At any rate, this'll hopefully drop off the bottomless 51st page, so I can go post a second edition of this guide. But not for this to be ****ed, as the second edition must first be made.

Also, right now I'm drafting up a proposal for re-vamping the way magic is used in roleplay as it is arguably the weakest part of the combat triangle and may be a reason for it also being arguably the most abused part.

So there's really no point in posting a second edition until all that happens.

Khaine, I'd like to discuss God Spells with you In-game as I find them to be Overpowered based on a reason I will share below. The following is that, specifically about Saradomin Strike.

There are two different examine texts of the Saradomin Staff, the staff being needed to use Saradomin Strike(Beyond Game Mechanics). The examine texts are as followed:

"A magical staff imbued with the power of Saradomin."
"A staff as used by Saradominist magi."

By these two examines, I am sure that you would need this staff to use Saradomin Strike and by holding "A magical staff imbued with the power of Saradomin," it would be classified as Overpowered within the community.

Before anyone goes all "That's Game Mechanics, not Lore," I will point out one more thing. As, I feel, Game Mechanics goes as far as your character in-game, the usage of the Saradomin Staff by the Wise Old Man to use Saradomin Strike in the Draynor Bank Robbery. Without the Staff, I find it to be unusable

Also, by these two quotes, you would HAVE to be Saradominist in order to use it. This last portion is just an assumption based on what I've put together.

I do feel the same lore, as I have given with the Wise Old Man, works alongside Claws of Guthix and Flames of Zamorak due to the following quotes for the Guthix and Zamorak counterparts of the Saradomin Staff.

"A magical staff imbued with the power of Guthix."
"A magical staff imbued with the power of Zamorak."

Both of those, being the staves needed in order to use the two spells(Game Mechanics yet backed up with the Wise Old Man's Saradomin Strike Lore), make it mandatory to need the staff in order to use the spells.

Unlike the Three God Spells above, Storm of Armadyl does not need the battlestaff in order to be used. The battlestaff, along with the other three, is overpowered as the Orb on it is forged from the shards of the Orb on the Staff of Armadyl, an elder weapon.

The reason I feel that the Storm of Armadyl is overpowered and impossible to use in roleplay is due to the facts that one needs Armadyl Runes in order to use it. Armadyl Runes are far different than those of the more common runes due to the fact that they are also made from the Armadyl Shards(The shards from the Orb of the Staff of Armadyl.)

These Armadyl Shards would be nearly impossible to come across and even if one person did, it would be nearly impossible for them to know how to create the runes, as it is not mentioned in any books, only known to very very very few people.

Thus I make my point and would like to discuss with you, Khaine, more on these points in-game. Not only, do I feel, the God Spells are overpowered, but you would need items that would be nearly impossible to get in character.

I'm not trying to restrict magical creativity, I'm trying to show Logic to this Magic Lore, a lore that is primarily lost due to the removal of these spells in-game.

Personally, I think these spells are fine for "Boss" type characters made for story type RP's. I could see them being fit for a longtime character who has shown extreme loyalty to a certain god and gone some dangerous trial to unlock this power/gain the needed items.

I do believe they ought to be restricted in use, if not only used by "NPC" type characters. OP or not, they aren't the kind of powers you pick up easily. Even the adventurer had to gain sizable magic skill and brave battles to the death in the deep wilderness to gain access to these spells. Far more in the case of SoA.

Sorry to give such a short response to your post. I also hope I'm not imposing, as your post was directed at Khaine.

It's no problem at all, it's more directed towards Khaine since I want to talk to him about it, but anyone is free to reply. You're not imposing at all. ^_^

With those posts, I really just wanted to get my logic out. As, I know, people would use Saradomin Strike with a wand, it would be much better for it to be known that the item is a MUST when casting the spell.

Edit: I also do agree about "Boss" characters and I simply don't want people, on their main characters, to rofl-up these items and be all "I have part of the Staff of Armadyl."
