We reached out across the Salve to anyone who would hear our pleas. As you may have guessed from my introduction, it was the White Knights of Asgarnia that answered our call for aid. Despite their own land being ravaged by a war fueled by ideology, they were generous enough to offer us any supplies that we might need. Their mines have supplied us with more silver than I could have ever asked for, as well as a healthy amount of mithril. Their farmlands have given us plentiful food to share with the less-fortunate of Morytania, as well as some basic medical herbs to care for the ill and wounded.

With these new resources at our disposal, we grew more bold. This, of course, lead to certain vampyres taking an interest in our affairs. Arch Foryx, a Vampyre of the Foryx Coven, made the unfortunate mistake of stalking, then engaging us while outnumbered. All of his strength and speed could not save him from his mistake. We set upon him as soon as he presented us with an opening. Within minutes, the once haughty Vampyre was clapped in silver chains and dragged off into the swamps for interrogation.

As one could imagine, the Foryx did not take kindly to us taking one of their ilk. Within a week Lothorian Foryx, the reclusive leader of the Foryx, found his way into the dilapidated ruins we were keeping his kin in. His arrival, however was not a surprise to us. Word travels fast in the myre, and we heard of the solitary Vampyre's mission long before he set foot in our dungeon. We used our time wisely, setting traps that even a Vyrelord would have trouble surviving. Many hours were put into the planning and setting up of our ambush.

The cave could only be obviously accessed from the surface through a trap door, which my men sealed tight with swamp tar. There was one secret exit near the rear of the cave, but only Castigo and I were aware of the path. Inside, we had blessed Salve water by the trough-full waiting for Lothorian, as well as a contingent of recruits and allies alike to engage him.

Unfortunately, the Vyrelord's skills were beyond even our wildest contingency. After sealing the trapdoor tight, it took four men attacking from all angles to even scratch the monster. Our zeal, however, outlasted the Vyrelord's supernatural reflexes. We claimed one wing, and scored many heavy blows on the Vampyre's form. While he was eventually able to compromise the cage containing Arch, evidence inside the cage shows that the trap we affixed to the detainee went off, likely claiming Arch's life.

The Myreque suffered injuries as well. Many were battered and bruised from being flung about by the Vyrelord's strength, but Lothorian seemed to take an unhealthy interest in me. In the midst of the battle, I could swear I heard his voice in my mind. He targeted me with some vile magic. I am unsure of what manner it was, or what it did, but I have not been able to rest peacefully since the incident. My dreams are haunted by vampyric visages and despondency. I have been doing my best to keep my men from knowing of my unease, but as time drags on it becomes much harder to keep up the charade.

Profiled. I'll probably send an app your way when I have time to rp another character in March . Cheers. Also the communiques are a nice read! *double thumbs up*

Edit: Second thought, here it is.
Application Form:

Screen-Name: Zrie

Time Zone: Central, USA (GMT -6)

Character Name: Okami Haruno (Age: 17)

Character Race: Human (Eastern)

Brief History:
Orphaned at a young age, Okami traveled between the Wushanko isles. Eventually, he ended up on the isle of Tokoko. As both an orphan and as a street urchin, Okami had no family to turn to-- after stealing food from a protected shop, the Death Lotus took note of Okami, essentially recruiting him into their sect. Here on from the age of ten he learned how to kill.

Okami slowly grew distant to the rest of the sect, withdrawing from their lust for chimes, and eventually turned West. The journey wasn't without danger, his escorts were killed by corsairs, he became a prisoner, eventually abandoned in Port Phasmatys. Mortified by the state of the regions residents despite his former self, Okami began harboring wishes to join the Myreque resistance.

Other:
For the rest of the month my schedule is stretched pretty thin until 9pm each night, I'll try my best to get on, but often I am too tired. I am on for the majority of the weekend.

I have done my best to summarize the events that have brought us to this day, but it seems they are still quite lengthy. But I digress. Now the Werewolves of Canifis have grown weary of their vampyric overlords and are openly revolting against the Vaeyl's cruel policies. Our actions have garnered enough fear and infamy for these wolves to seek us out for assistance in driving the Vampyres from their land.

While their struggle lies in the same vein as our own, I have my reservations about aiding the wolves. They have been known to openly and indiscriminately murder innocent men and women of nearly every race. However, an old acquaintance of mine has approached me on their behalf and persuaded me to attend a conference with the rebellion's leaders to determine if we should lend them our aid.

Currently, I am awaiting the council, which should be in a few days time. With these grueling days and restless nights, I can only hope that I am in fit enough shape to competently attend the conference.

An easterner? Okami will be an interesting addition to the Myreque. And I share your limitations on play time, for the most part. My schedule has been rather busy for the last 6 weeks, and will continue to be strained for the next two. But I, like you, do try to get on when I can.

Screen-Name: Ronyo Agar

Time Zone: EST

Character Name: Xetera

Character Race: Human

Brief History: Though he doesn't like disclosing his more older history, (He is a man of the future and not of the past) He doesn't mind explaining his more current past. He is a very prideful man, and the constant belittlement and his capture by the hands of the vaeyl were more than enough to force his hand, after only a few short days he'd made contact with a myreque member and after their conversation they were interrupted by a member of the vaeyl in Canifis bar, doing his best to save the elf with their cooperation they got away. He spent his time gathering quite a bit of information about the vaeyl as well during his time in their company.

Ah, so you were the guy in the bar. Add me in game, and we can get around to getting your character better acquainted with the Myreque.

It took weeks, but I finally deciphered the letter that was found attached to a dead pigeon so long ago. It was a cry for help, from a desperate slave trapped in the Mallavian Manor. I do not know how she managed to get the letter as far as it got, but I intended to make good on her gamble.

After scouting the Manor plot, I managed to sneak my way into the wretched hive. However, as I crept through those foreboding halls the fiends must have heard me. Two Mallavians, a Vyress and a Werewolf, set upon me nearly as quickly as I had entered. Even though they spoke in the typical haughtiness expected of Coven-mates, they did not attempt to immediately strike me down. In fact, they brought out the poor slave girl who wished to be freed and practically handed her to me. For a moment I thought the girl would turn on me, but her gleaming eyes only radiated hope.

However, I was still weary of a deception. I never laid down my weapons nor did I turn my back on the fiends. To my surprise, they did not spring one trap on me or the girl as we made our escape. Once we reached Canifis, I exchanged pleasantries with her. For a slave girl, it seemed that Anabell was quite well taken care of. She even retained a semblance of beauty, despite her worn features. I tried to plead with her to get her back across the Salve to be with her family, but she had a strong will and an even stronger paranoia. I was nearly forced to bring her under my tutelage here at the Grotto.

As I write this Billy, our chemist, is trying to show the poor girl the basics of fiery explosions. If Anabell remains as determined as I saw outside of Canifis, she will make a great liberator some day.
