Now I'm going to say this once:
The screenshots tell a whole different story. I don't know how you can come to the forums and talk about unity and rebuilding while you go around tearing down as many people as you can, but I guess you can't try and control what happens if people don't do what you say, may as well throw a tantrum.
Not from the screenshots, I have and I have our entire final conversation on discord...
So now I'm going to ask you to do two things:
1. Stop trying to make up total rubbish to blacken the name of other people.
2. Stay off this thread from now on. As far as I'm concerned anything you add at this point will just be spam/flaming this thread. If you have a problem with me you can speak to me in-game.

This is a surprisingly sober comment.
Don't get me wrong: I've seen it as inevitable for years and I've all but washed my hands off being involved in this community, but it's still sad to see it's finally over.

Eh, the curse of the commentator, it came back within days of my making that statement. To a degree at least.

A few suggestions:
- Thoughts on a tiered power level system to monitor OP characters
I think an artificial tier system for OP characters is basically not doable because of how free-flow the lore of Jagex is regarding for example magic. How many arguments have we had in the past where we argued X’s demon can take on Y’s Mahjarrat or Z’s Vampyre. We differ too much to agree on a red thread of power for all races/powers used in RuneScape. But if you want to sort of put limiters on the POK-sphere that at least regulate characters better I had an idea regarding a stricter use of a census.
If only characters that are registered on the POK census can show up for fights, and you put some limiters on being able to register as a POK you might solve some of the former issues where people just had their best man for the job appear out of thin air for a major event/battle. You could even force people to be able to only register two characters max for the census for example. Have them use one single main character for all the casual/slice of life/event roleplay and let them register a side character for the plots/big storyline events of the POK that can be more overpowered.
I do like OP characters in the sense that they can scale up the scene with epic and flashy actions and really cause some turmoil and life changing choices for your character (Eridyn looking at you <3) but I honestly hate them when put into a casual scene like a barpee or a coronation (you know who you are). Really think the host of the roleplay should have the control of what characters/story gets centralised and an OP character in the room takes some of that power the host imo should have purely due to character design. Host could always work with a less strict system but in my experience this leads to favouritism and causes friends to just enable friends to be OP in the (imo) wrong settings and cause drama for no good reason.

Much obliged for the comments Croco (seriously you've been the most helpful contributor so far)
You're right about the difficulty of a tier system. In my mind, it could only ever serve as a kind of guideline. If you see a group that only ever creates t10 (or w/e the max is) characters it would be a red flag. If two people are fighting a like-for-like battle it could be used as an indicator if there was a disagreement (though not a deciding factor). And if as you say, you see a t10 plans to visit your event then that would be another red flag.
Although for me, it's a question of good judgment as well as power levels. There are many (and arguably even most) situations where it would be bad practice for a top-tier character to make a full display of their powers. If the people who were acknowledged to have characters of this level understood the importance of good sportsmanship it shouldn't be an issue if they were to attend.
That all said I'm not sure if the idea of a host is one that really works within the setting of public RP. It's obviously unquestionably correct in the setting of private RP but I believe in creating an environment where everyone is free to be a generator of content, able to make their own mark on the story. Otherwise you get a lot of people present that are there predominantly to be either actors or the audience.

Host is not necessarily something for private roleplay. If the group that hosts a coronation for Ardougne says to everyone not to bring any Mahjarrat, demons or whatnot I think other groups should be required to respect their wishes.
It would on one hand remove all the random chaos from such events caused by characters that logically shouldn't be there but on the other hand it would give the people who are hosting the coronation the opportunity to follow their planning pf the event to its' fullest due to no randoms interupting. Basically a choice if you prefer freeflow or structure. Maybe there is middleground.
Also a tier number is meaningless if the number has no value or effect of some kind. Can a tier 10 character caat certain things instantly? Is a tier 10 literally 10x stronger than tier 1? How many tier 8 characters can I bring to the battle? Either way, it seems far from foolproof anyways because people will just argue about their characters tier level, basically giving folks an extra thing to nitpick about when OP characters come into play. I personally wouldn't do it without using something of a character sheet like DnD. Tiers only make sense to me if your sheet for example says you have a total of X points spend due to being level Y, so that makes you a tier Z character. You can just use level then but you could make level and tier not sync up causing a steeper tier curve than level curve. Just ideas.
