I wish you saw Jagex moderators weighting in as valuable before. Ahem.

Literally everyone posting here knows Pyro and his attempts to validate himself/his ideas. People here berating him are wel aware that his way of 'fun on W42' is not their type of 'fun on W42' (anymore). Just let him do it and if you don't want to do a 10 things list for him don't post here maybe? Quickly learn how to Roleplay on RuneScape!

Could everyone also mind not making these ludicrous statements about what they think I'm trying to do? I really don't need to be psychoanalyzed by people who have no idea what they are talking about.

Sorry if I got abrupt but I was just simply bored of seeing the same (very wrong in my opinion) advice being spammed on this thread over and over. As much as I am happy to hear objections (Croco, in particular, has been helpful in highlighting areas where this new set of rules could use clarification) it does need to be on a diverse range of topics in order to be useful.

At the end of the day, while you see the re-emergence of a single main POK-driven canon as a disaster, I see it as inevitable. I see new POks springing up as we speak, I hear rumblings of interest from other quarters and I feel amusement now as much as at any other time in the past at the declaration that such a thing will never come again. As far as I'm concerned all we can hope is that we can learn from past mistakes and make the next wave a little bit better. No one said you have to take part but if you don't want to then this thread is not for you. "The greatest endeavors are achieved because of their selfless intent"

What topics exactly are you looking for/at then?

Basically any issue you've found with RP that has not already been covered.

A few suggestions:

- Ways to address the metagaming issues
- Thoughts on a tiered power level system to monitor OP characters
- Limitations on POK recovery times (abuse of timeskipping etc)
- Addition of new features or mechanics not seen in previous W42 rp "The greatest endeavors are achieved because of their selfless intent"

That is all quite some big picture stuff. What you basically want is to put down the infrastructure for a city without any idea if the housing will sell, jobs will be provided and taken or if any of the infrastructure will be even used in the first place. I honestly think that you need to think smaller if you wish to create a proper opportunity for something even remotely akin to POK based roleplay.

Since we're sort of at a fresh slate state of roleplay again, you could go look back at early W42 and perhaps even w31 roleplay groups. Family based roleplay, sometimes noble, would slowly gain members with daily roleplay and then rise to power on the political stage as they interacted with other groups. It's hard to get that competitive environment again between families because the population is barely enough to support a single active one, let alone multiple.

Perhaps to help the process of your preclaimed surge in POK roleplay the advantages of roleplaying on RuneScape can be promoted off site but I personally have my doubts. Releases on other systems and platforms, a new approach by Jagex, the new player avatar or whatever else can hopefully draw in people interested in roleplay. For now however I think going over the schematics of complicated issues of old is just something you can do for fun and leisure. If you are dead set on going over stuff like that lmk. Quickly learn how to Roleplay on RuneScape!

@Croco What I am doing is assuming that POK RP will return regardless of what I do because it will and trying a little forward-thinking. This thread exists for people that are interested in contributing to that. If it never ever gets used then that is my disappointment and not something that will affect you. Now I'm going to ask you one more time not to repost a reformatting of this argument again.

@Rid Would this be a way of flaming the thread by introducing a completely unrelated topic and blowing it out of all proportion? I'm thinking yes and if you continue with it I will report you to the forum moderators.

Now I'm going to say this once: Crimson and I had an argument about an RP. We were not rude, we did not lower ourselves to personal attacks and nothing happened that could be in any way described as "verbal abuse". "The greatest endeavors are achieved because of their selfless intent"
