Conclusion

The raiders surged into the town, and quickly posted up at the bank once the patrolling guards fled to alert the knights of Misthalin. The brief pause to raise alarm gave the raiders a chance to dig in and prepare, and valiantly they held off the knights long enough for looting to be done, once the local defenders' line was briefly pushed back, the raiders fled before reinforcements came to descend upon them and finish them off.

They fled back to the rowboats they arrived on, taking with them:

x5 large bags of gold
x1 bag of precious gems
x1 large container of divine energy
x3 crates of plant seeds and harvested produce
x1 Daisy Lavelle

As the rowboats seemingly rowed out into the middle of the ocean, the two recently docked average vessels whom had stopped at Draynor's docks had set sail, seemingly to get away from the raid and to safety, before slowing down to raise the rowboats and loot up on their way out of the bay.

As quick as they arrived, the pair of ships were swiftly exiting into the open ocean and away from the scene.

To our most Pious and Sovereign King James II, I write this letter with deep affection as both a subject of His Majesty and as a man of the cloth. It has come to my attention that the Great Library in the Palace is, at the present, unattended and the role of Librarian vacant and, with this knowledge at hand, I petition His Majesty to leave such a treasure trove of learning in my charge.

I have, since I took my vows forty years ago, served as Armarius at the Monastery in Edgeville and have illuminated and maintained many manuscripts in its Scriptorium. The quest of learning is a godly and righteous pursuit which I in my old age still maintain the resolve.

If such an offer pleases His Majesty, I shall embark for Varrock at once.

Your faithful servant,

Nicholas Clavius

In the days following the raid upon Draynor, a formal letter would be sent to the castle. Whether or not it made it to the king or not is to be seen.

To his Majesty King James II

I must unfortunately inform you that during the raid upon your town of Draynor, one Daisy Lavelle has come into my custody. Someone of such a high standing both within the government and in the eyes of the citizens is quite certainly to be missed, so as a gesture of mercy I offer thee a choice. Deliver fifteen thousand gold coins to a location that will be decided following acceptance of this trade, or lose this woman forever. If yee wish to accept the offer as any honorable man would, or formally decline, leave a letter of response within a box aside the fountain in the square of Varrock. Make your choice with haste, lest I seek others whom might value her aswell.

Your merciful marauder,

Jekyll Redbrand.

A letter of response would be sent back confirming that the crown agrees to pay for the release of Countess Daisy Lavelle.

Following the delivery of the letter stating the ransom would be paid, one day later, another letter would arrive. It said simply:

"Come to Crandor Island with the loot on a single ship with no cannons. If any other ships are seen, any cannons witnessed, or anymore than two soldiers beached the Countess will be executed before your very eyes."
