Power(s), Abilities, and/or Skill(s): Arbaal has dramatically increased strength and resilliance, he also can perform "Sweeping Doom" in which he uses his blade's stored energy to create a mighty shockwave, raising spikes of rock from the ground in a 2 meter radius.


Weaknesses:


Weapons/Specialized Tools: "Khorne's Wrath" a mighty flail, and "The Slayer of Kings" An old daemon sword, once owned by Chaos' first champion, now more powerful than before.


Clothing/Armour: Thick plate armour, adorned with Symbols of the blood god.

Aura Augmentation Update Original, page 55.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Although these are all functions of Aura, it does not mean an Aura user could inherently know how to use them, they require a different kind of focus, training, and practice.

Technically speaking, this is not a new kind of magic, nor is it magic, as Aura is not magic.

However, I feel this should be a “magic class” or type, as one would have it.
Assuming this is accepted, I would like it placed within the magic types section in the intro pages, for access and usages sake.

Aura Augmentation resides in two realms; Physical, and Mental. Whilst the Physical are indeed Augments, the Mental realm is more akin to manipulations and perceptions, not augments.

The Physical Augments all work in tandem with eachother, whilst each separate function of it has its own amount of training and the likes required, they are all very much a part of the same whole, in the realm of Physical Augmentation, learning one greatly gives way to learning others.

The Mental Realm is more tedious, they are more or less not even augments as much as they are purely extensions of the function and control of Aura. These "Augments" focus on the spiritual realm of Aura, understanding and manipulating its flow through every living being. This branch of Aura Manipulation is possibly the most powerful, and dangerous, as a talented user of these Augments can attain prediction of actions, bypass normal mental defenses and raid their opponents minds. This form of Aura manipulation is extremely powerful, , impossible to learn on one's one, and very, very dangerous. Ties to this realm of Aura also make the individual more susceptible to shifts in Alignment, they feel the ebb and flow of all existence so much more closely, that it can break them, or even harden them so fiercely to many aspects of the world that they become dangerously pious. It is a dangerous, but powerful realm of Aura manipulation, and should not be taken up lightly.

The Physical augments are as follows:


Aura Physical Augmentation: This is the primary use of Aura Augmentation, its use is to empower ones physical attributes, making one stronger or faster, or the likes. Using this doesn’t “consume” aura, however, it does require a constant effort of controlling the aura energy. Meaning, as one takes damage and suffers injuries, or comes about being worn out, their enhancements may dwindle. However, as this could be a dormant ability in an individual, some may find desperation triggers greater ability for them, lasting for a briefer frame of time.
The increase in strength and speed is related to one’s own ability to manipulate aura as such, and training therewith, or as stated prior, their desperation.
Typically focusing aura as such does not visibly manifest, however, in cases when an immense amount of aura is being focused, the energy will seem to seep off the person like a steam, or smoke, or their eyes will glow.

Armament Augmentation
Armament Augmentation is a manifestation of Aura used to increase ones ability to penetrate barriers of energy, bypass others Defensive Augments, increase the cutting power and durability of weaponry, and overall increase the effectiveness of ones pure offensive power.
Armament Augmentation varies in consumption or circumvention. When using it to increase a weapons sharpness, or penetrate barriers, unless an enemy has an exponentially higher skill in the opposing ability-type, typically this function does not consume large amounts of aura, but requires extremely focused circumvention. Armament more often shows through as a sheen of the wielders Aura color over the area being used for the Armament, a dim glimmer, or maybe an obvious blaring color for more intense focuses, sometimes rippling off akin to Physical Augmentation as these often go in tandem when highly focused.
This is also to be used to strike opponents who are capable of turning their body into ethereal and such.

Aura Defensive Augmentation : Defensive Augmentation, is when Aura energy is inwardly focused to form a typically invisible barrier over one’s body, much like typical aura barriers, but restricted to the users’ body, and unseen to the eyes. It has the same basic function as an aura barrier, resisting magical and physical bows alike. In an example format, a talanted user of this Augmentation would be entirely impervious to the blows of your average swordsman, using steel weaponry. Power of the barrier varies with the users’ practice and skill level, even resisting the physical blows, a strong enough magical or physical attack can penetrate the barrier, especially if the user underestimates the oncoming attacks.
Usually Defensive Augmentation is not visible, but again, as with all functions of Aura, in extremely high focus it becomes visible akin to a sheen, or rippling smoke or energy.

Combining Armament, and Defensive Augmentation can result in the character making their arm as hard as a strong metal, and inversely it would be both better defended, and better for beating the life out of their foes with. This is one of many ways Aura Augments can be combined.




Middle Branches:
While these are more akin to the Mental realm, these are less spiritual and are often learned by warriors to aid in their battling, and come with much less of a visceral threat as the Mental abilities tend to.


Detection Augmentation: Detection Augmentation is a use of Aura, that does require a small amount to be consumed to use it. The user of a Detection Augmentation, sends a small wave of their Aura out from themselves, keeping in tune therewith and allowing them to detect any living forms it comes in contact with. More powerful users can map out whole dungeons or battlefields using Detection Augmentation.
Detection Augmentation may also be used to evaluate an enemies Aura, and get a basic estimate of what their power level may be like. More skilled users can obta

Prediction Augmentation
Prediction Augmentation requires at least a basic understanding of Detection Augmentation to be able to be used.
Prediction Augmentation permits a user to obtain a baseline precognition of any opponents movements, assuming the opponent has an Aura. The user is able to sense Aura very keenly, and in turn, can feel when it is in motion and inversely can estimate rapidly where an attack may be headed and thus gains a slight upperhand on dodging.
A more masterful user can predict inversely, more skillfully.

Mental Manipulations/Perceptions : All of these require a basic understanding of Aura Detection to use, inversely, a more skillful user of any of these is also going to be talented at using Detection Augmentation as it is the cornerstone to the realm of understanding and perceiving Aura.


Emotion Manipulation:
The realm of emotional manipulation is simple, but dangerous. A user of this manipulation is able to ascertain base emotions from anyone with an unshielded Aura, reading off their hatred, lust, agony, and such emotions. A more masterful user can perceive deeper emotions, and even to a degree force emotions onto their foes, and even become able to share in the emotions of others with a dangerously deep Empathy.

Mind Manipulation:
Mind Manipulation is a means of reaching into the mind of another through their spirit, as it is not a traditional means of invading another's mind, normal magical defenses around the mind do not as effectively prohibit it however an individual with a strong Aura is inversely very difficult for a weaker user to reach into the mind of.
Once a user is inside the mind of another they can do traditional things, pillage information or memories, or the more skilled users can erase, or even plant memories or ideas into their victims.

One who also understands Emotion Manipulation can not only invade their mind and target their memories, they can force the strong emotions of past situations to resurface in their victims, for their betterment, or otherwise.

Spirit Manipulation:
Spirit Manipulation is not as much a Manipulation or Augment as it is a perception. One with understanding of this art sees the world differently, they perceive Aura on an entirely deeper level. They can perceive the inclination of another's Aura, on a basic level they can oft tell if one is primarily evil, good, or moreover neutral.
This combined with an understanding of the Emotional realm makes for an individual who can near perfectly read the emotions of those around them, often not even intentionally.
This also makes for more keen detections and predictions.

All these functions can be combined and used in tandem with eachother for even more deep abilities, I just wasn't able to write up all the functions they have, and in many ways I do not capture all the ideas I have for it. However, I feel this gives adequate basis for anyone seeking to use my forms of Aura. Any questions can be directed to me.

These are all the functions I have currently devised for Aura, however, it is a rather open idea, and will expand.

Questions to ask when ascertaining the base amount of Aura a character has:

Is my character strong willed?
How would my character react in a desperate situation?
Would they rise to the occasion, or cower away?

Aura is spirit energy, or more strong spirited and strong willed person is inversely going to have a naturally more expansive Aura.
However, a character may have immense Aura that lie dormant, and thus they bear immense potential but in no way access or use that potential.

Alignment: Depends on which you ask. All are a bit neutral on things, but with their own minds differing on exact things.

Occupation: Being a goddess.

Power(s), Abilities, and/or Skill(s): Lunai has ability over shadows, dreams, water and illusions. Viana has power over light, fire, and metal. Ara has control over nature, earth (Inculding metal), air and sound. All three have control over aura, telepathy, and telekensis.

Weaknesses: Lunai takes control of the body during the night, Viana during the day, and Ara when underground or the weather is poor.

Weapons/Specialized Tools: None of them currently have a weapon. They do however carry around a journal in which they keep notes for the other forms in there.

Clothing/Armour: Lunai tends to wear black, Viana white, and Ara some colors.
