First Age

The First Age of Gielinor began when Guthix brought humans to it, and among those first Humans were the ancestors of House Renderra, the Draiochta and the Adrasteians. Each carrying legends of their heroes, the two were, even as Guthixians, bound in a blood feud with the reasons lost in time, even to them.

It was only a matter of time until collateral damage was struck, and in this case a world wound was ripped open, only to be plugged by the Ent known as Aethyros with the planting of what became the first Soulwood Tree.

Aethyros was a collossus, an anima-charged being and protector, who with his influence of Guthix, forced the two sides into agreement. The families were bound by solemn pact to Aethyros, then marriage, and then in turn mixed so much as to be inseperable. The Noble Adrasteian warrior and the wild, Draiochta Druid was one and the same.

Spreading to a clan, and subclans, focused around the Soulwood and Aethyros, the group called the Arrenda grew various cultures within itself. The Arrenda erected an altar at the Soulwood to their 'Horned God, the Gate-Maker' as the first age began to close, and Guthix, who refused to be worshipped, went to slumber in isolation.

Second Age

As other Gods began to settle Gielinor, while many other humans began worshipping them, or even local Collossii, truly the reason the Renderra remained so staunchly Guthixian was the influence of their own Collossus, Aethyros.

Whispers of Guthix did make their way to the Zarosian Empire, but the ever-expanding empire was not going to hesitate in conquering the Soulwood either.

The Sixth Legion under Legatus Sucellus, one of the original 12 Chthonian Dukes, sent a demon known as Typhoeus Sucellae to the Soulwood to bring it into the fold.

This Demon scarred the Early Renderra founders. Their Druids called it 'Nethyros' as it appeared to be all Aethyros was not. Their Warriors called it 'the Storm,' as rain of magic and missles from the demon and his legion fell like rain. Their Magi, by far taking the brunt of the attacks, called it the Corruption.

Aethyros was poisoned by the Demon, even as the combined efforts of the Magi and Druids led to its banishment, and the demise of the Zarosian Cohort sent left a curse upon the ground itself, for Aethyros to use his last moments to twist into a complex, forested Maze.

While the Druids and holiest warriors stayed to tend to Aethyros' body, the Magi and some Warriors left the Soulwood to face the Demons in their homeland, marching on Senntisten. The remaining warriors, seeking to protect the Elders, moved West, settling into the Fremennik Province.

This Schism had led to three groups, the Arrenda Druids, the 'Marked Ones' of Senntisten, and the Blackshield Clans of the Fremennik.

Third Age

The God Wars were not kind to the Arrenda, with their status as humans in former Zarosian territory constantly putting them at odds with the forces of Zamorak, Saradomin, and Bandos. In limited interactions with the outside world, the Arrenda became known as the Arender, even as the Chieftain proclaimed himself as Chieftain of Aethyra, the land of Aerhyros' sacrifice.

For much of the God Wars, the Arender were forced to keep their heads down, though every so often a daring member would go to nearby areas for trade and supplies.

During this time period, the Arender were capable smiths, though woefully outclassed by their contemporary Imcando Dwarven competition. However, good enough was good enough, and a few of these metal workers were forced into service now and again by Saradomin, Zamorak, or Bandos' forces. This was almost always met with the Arender Smith being broken out of their ranks by friends and family alike.

As the Third Age grew darker and darker still, the four druids who awakened Guthix restirred the hope of the Arender, who rallied to his cause eagerly.

Fourth Age

The Fourth Age was the true start of what we could call 'Renderra History.' Tyrion Renderra, the Great Bladesmith, was born in the tail end of the Third Age. In the Early Fourth, he learned of the Marcato attempting to summon back Lerepiel Shadowbrand, a Demonic General of Zamorak banished in part by Guthix.

Tyrion forged his sword, now known as Choronlann, or Crownblade, from the old Arrenda Warcrown, and the divine tears of Guthix. This sword was painstakingly crafted for the task of enforcing the Balance of Guthix, with Tyrion's enchantments ready. When Lerepiel was prevented from being summoned, Tyrion returned a Hero, even as he left a renegade. The Elder Council looked at Tyrion with disgust for his actions, but the younger Renderra, as they would soon be known, rallied to his side.

With Tyrion Renderra now head of his renegade faction the Renderra, it was only a matter of time before the last Arender was gone.

The Renderra were isolationist in nature, fighting their rival Marcato family wherever they rose up, but when the World called upon them, they were first to run for Aid. Tyrion the Second was among those who fought at the Salve against the forces of Lord Lowerniel Drakan. Tyra the first slew the Undead Dragon Vor'Skek that terrorized Taverley.

The Fourth Age had many Renderra heroes long forgotten to time outside the most observant of family Lorekeepers, but among them all, Tyrion the First, Tyrion the Founder, is held as a chief Hero.

Rikkard Renderra was one of a chain of Rulers at the tail end of the Fourth Age. He is not known for his kindness, and exiled his own daughter to her unknowing demise at Falador to what would eventually be Sliskeans. Hers is the story of Deborah Iron, the Dollmaker and the Silvertongued.

Rikkard's callous disregard for family that wasn't "family enough" earned him the distrust of many, and ultimately sealed his fate, as the Marcato resurged for Revenge, nearly eliminating the Renderra family, bar Tyrion the Third, his mother, and their knights. Tyrion the Third avenged his family, but in his wisdom ended before overextending himself, or bringing himself to the debased thought of putting children to the sword.

As the Fourth Age came to a slowing close, and the discovery of Runes was on the horizon, Tyrion the Third had five children, among them Lucius Renderra, the most shameful addition to the family tree within the Family. A Necromancer, even as the Mage who was tasked to hunt Necromancers, Lucius lived a double life, serving an Empty, Forgotten God of his Mother's people.

It wasn't until his illegitimate child, Natalie Iron came to the family, alongside her adopted brother Zarin, that the Renderra would return to a path of redemption onward to the Fifth Age, the age of Runes.

Fifth Age

Natalie, Zarin, Katlyn, Lenea, William, and Lilian were all young Renderra, with a family many would see on its last legs. But Raddallin of the Asgarn was wise. Rather than fight in the open field, Natalie Iron, recognized now as Natalie Tyra Renderra, Heir to Tyrion, challenged him to a test of faith. Demonstrating Choronlann would not hurt those who served balance with a chop to her own neck, Raddallin, as stories tell, did the same. The Chieftain of the Asgarn was successful, and so Natalie, the young lady of the family, bent the knee to the Asgarnian Crown.

This proved to be a valuable asset to King Raddallin. Not interested in politics, the Renderra remained to themselves on matters of the White Knights and Kinshra, but Zarin Renderra proved in maturing time to be more than just a competant fighter, but a monster of the battlefield.

Even as the Worshippers of the Dragonkin rose from Forinthry, Zarin and Natalie, adapting much of what Lucius and their experiences in war and a dark, forgotten family to defend their homeland from true invasion.

Zarin gained a reputation as a slayer overall, while Natalie drew Choronlann sparingly, slaying Lerepiel Shadowbrand, liches, and more.

The Coat of Arms of Natalie Renderra

Natalie's son Driez, born to a Cywir Elven mother, took the family from Natalie as her age progressed. Ultimately, Natalie and Zarin are modern legends to many across the world, with both being respected in Druidic and Slayer circles respectively.

Driez Renderra took perhaps a bit too much after Lucius, though only so much as he felt could fit his principles. He took a fellow half-Elven wife, and brought the family to a more political stage, expanding on Lucius' efforts in the wine trade to bring a cutthroat business practice.

Driez took the initial scraps of his mother's Order of the Raven, a remnant of Lucius' influence, and built a spy network to protect Guthixians in secret from the shadows.

The Order of the Raven formed in earnest, in its current form under Natalie, when old enemies, political rivals, and mercantile rivals targetted the Renderra of Asgarnia, the Shawsheen of Eagle's Peak, the Hiroto of Wushanko, and the Frostshields of Rellekka, reunited by of all people, the Outlander Natalie Renderra.

The Ravens swore at different Soulwood Trees planted to protect the weak, to guard the world, and to protect the Anima Mundi. Guthixians, Spiritual Godless, and V Followers came under one banner in secret, and Driez, as a figure of Authority in this group, trained the Ravens to fight for the longterm, aware peace in Asgarnia may not last.

Sure enough as fate would have it, the heavily Elven Renderra continue to grow in size. The Void Knights recruited many Renderra in turn, including Alcides and Tarranis, Guardian and Executioner styles respectively, while Ekaterina became involved with her studies to cease famine, even as tensions ratchetted between the Kinshra and White Knights.

Thalia Renderra was born in year 115 of the Fifth Age. Born in the Soulwood to Alcides Renderra and Marie Locke, she was raised in Asgarnia by her aunt Ekaterina. While young, she was noted as arrogant and prideful, but quickly worked with her friends such as Sage Amari and Daphne the Seer to explore and adventure the world. This all changed when the Pest Invasion began in earnest.

Thalia served with the Void Knights, becoming a Captain through her ten year run from Year 143 of the Fifth Age, her trademark sword Teardrop, a powerful blade of a Rune alloy serving both as a catalyst for her fire magic, and her melee capabilities. When she married Nova Tepes, the young Renderra was now fully matured, and had more than a share of adventures under her belt, Thalia Renderra was on track to be a modern legend. Her quest with Crast Ares, Nova, Fuinir, and a few others ultimately saved and befriended the very Empire her great-grandmother nearly destroyed, and she herself became a foundational member to the Legend's Guild following in Xenia and Radimus Erkle's footsteps.

During the Siege of Falador of 164, Thalia fought in earnest against the Kinshra, as Lord Sulla's tactics proved too brutal, too scorched earth, and too close to her home. The Maze-Like Soulwood held the Kinshra at bay, but it was at Falador's Siege where Thalia shined brightest, spell, sword, and chant of Guthix continuing to invigorate the Imperial Guardsmen at her side.

Thalia became head of the Renderra properly eight years ago, during year one of the Sixth age, after Driez Renderra was cripplingly wounded in his old age trying to defend Guthix. A Tournament was held to determine who of Driez's now many grandchildren would rule, and with the aid of friends and family, Thalia prevailed.

Modern Renderra of Note

Driez Renderra the Shadow-Walker
A talented hunter, ice and shadow mage, Driez has moments of humour to break up a serious, battered personality. He has three spouses, and over six children. Its no wonder, then, that the family is so big when Driez is an influence. Now retired from combat, Driez sticks to Religious matters, growing more scholarly to Guthix's thoughts as he grows older, and even learning from his daughter Ekaterina.

Ekaterina Renderra the Animaweaver
Kat is a talented diviner, magical scholar, and a Druid. She keeps the family lore back to Tyrion, alongside any scraps she can find of older material. A capable Cavalier, she founded the Banshee and Animaweaver schools of the Order of the Raven.

Alcides Renderra the Guardian
Father of Thalia, a fire spellsword and all around pure soul, Alcides was constantly running Logistics for the Void Knights, and his own children enlisted in force. He is known as very honourable, and carries a cool head for a fire mage.

Tarannis Renderra the Executioner
A brutal Renderra who never married, yet has a multitude of children, all of whom are named for Demons. While Alcides is a noble heart and able to build supply chains, Tarannis is a strategist when the soldiers are on the board, and is himself a quite capable combatant.

Diana Locke
Sister to Driez, Diana married into the Locke family, one of their Counties. Diana is not a fan of the Bow as much as her Elder Brother, but instead prefers blades. She is a spymaster by nature, coordinating middlemen and dead-drops for the likes of the Order of the Raven.

Thalia Renderra
A Modern Legend. See above.

Ria Renderra
Lady Commander of Aethyra's military, Ria oversees the Aethyric Bowmen, and is regarded for her wind magic and distance-archery skills.

Deborah Iron

While not known publically as a Renderra, Deborah Iron, the Dollmaker of Sliske, is a corrupted Renderra who served the Sliskeans in the early days of the Second God Wars, turning sides before Sliske's demise, where her old allies had her killed.
