Leadership Structure

Among the Order of the Raven, perhaps 'lack there-of' is a more fair term.

As radical believers of Guthix's last will, the Order of the Raven does not believe in any form of unjust hierarchy.

The Ravens are styled similarly to parallel support structures, with a single Raven often interacting with a dozen or so non-Ravens, and in turn a dozen or so Ravens.

An A-Group of people who work directly with the Order, a B group who are not members, but for various reasons help the Order knowingly or not, and a C group, or Central Group, who spreads information between different groups.

The Order of the Raven's status is determined by Master Ravens, who typically decide solely based on experience who may be an apprentice, and who may become a full Raven themselves. Masters not only run operations and groupings, but teach their skills to the next generations.

Knowledge is the most powerful weapon, and the Order of the Raven has found a way to weaponize it effectively.

Core Beliefs and Responsibilities

The Order of the Raven is a Guthixian-Godless focused organization, typically accepting members who follow the ways of certain Gods now passed, or no gods at all.

Much of their focus is on parallel structures, supporting those who have nowhere else to turn, to turn them into allies.

There is no true leader of the Order of the Raven, even though there are key people of influence. This is done due to both its freeform, non-hierarchical structure, and also for the sake of plausible deniability if a member is caught.

The Order of the Raven views their work as above the law of any God or Nation.

A Raven must preserve the weak, the Anima Mundi, and cultures at risk of extinction.
A God War brings death, and the Ravens want the memory of the world's diversity noted.

A Raven must be tactically sound, to command forces into a field of battle, whether direct or indirect, and come out on top.

A Raven must inform, not only the younger Ravens who seek wisdom, but those who need protection in how to protect themselves, but also of a simple idea. 'We do not need Gods and Kings to lead us, just our will alone.'

A Raven must think both clearly and for themselves. Critical thought is vital to the Order.

A Raven must balance their skillset. Not just in the sense of covering combative weaknesses, but a Raven should be able to aid allies with the same hands they use to assault their enemies.

Ranks and Classes of Ravens

There are Four, technically Three Ranks to the Order of the Raven, and Five Classes of the same.

Associate
Not a true Raven, but somebody who works with the Order knowingly or not toward their goals. Some are candidates for future Ravens, others remain at arm's length.

Apprentice
Acknowledged as a Raven in Training by a Master Raven, an Apprentice has all the responsibility of a member of the Order, but until induction has no authority within the group.

Raven
The standard member of the Order, a Raven can act independently of a Master or their peers to meet their goals.

Master Raven
Typically less active in the field, barring extreme circumstances. A Master Raven teaches the next group of Ravens, and has say in who may begin entry to and be formally inducted into the Order. A Master cannot command a Raven with an order, only a suggestion. No Raven may be forced into action unwillingly.

Likewise, the classes exist to determine tactics and toolsets.

The Shadow Class is lightweight, with a focus on speed, distance, and stealth. A Shadow either hides in plain sight ahead of someone, or targets from far away. Shadows are typically used for Assassination, Reconaissance, Espionage, and tracking.

The Primal Class is medium-weight. They wear enough armour to stay flexible, able to stay quick on their feet and nimble, but not be ill-equipped in a fight either. Versatility is their goal, best for unknown situations.

The Silverclad Class is heavy-weight, focusing less on stealth and more on dramatic, area of effect attacks and tanking large hits. They are often used as shock-forces in situations gone very poorly.

The Animaweaver class focuses on Divination, Herblore, and magic to heal the sick and wounded. While this is effective on a battlefield, its utility use in building parallel aid networks should not be understated in turn.

The Forgemaster class is fully utilitarian, working on enhanced engineering, smithing, and crafting techniques for armour, weapons, tools, and other equipment for the Order of the Raven. If the combative classes are a spearhead, it is the Forgemaster who makes up the shaft.

Armoury of the Order

The Order of the Raven has a multitude of tools and gadgets to work on their tasks at hand. Some are standardized for mass distribution, others are simply materials to work with.

The Raven Communique
A simple tool made from a slayer gem, a sapphire gem, and often set into Mithril. The Communique is a communication device that allows short range communication, and also long range to a specific dispatcher, who then relays the message over a greater distance through more complicated spells.

Sacred Rune Alloy
Rune is at its strongest when it takes magical barriers into account. The use of Rune, Sacred Metal, divined anima, and demonic ashes makes for a multipurpose weapon, both durable, but through Sacred Metal can be used for certain spells. Teardrop, Thalia's sword, was the first of blades such as these to be made.

Divine Barrier
Developed by Ekaterina, these barriers use Divination and raw materials to produce a tough barricade to block entry and secure areas.

Riding Wand
Popularized by the Banshees, these wands are long enough to ride a mount, yet also capable of casting complex spells.

Frostshield Gottsbräu
The 'Gods Brew' is alcohol infused with heavy herbal treatment, more like a potion than a true liquor. With a tendency to linger in the throat, the stuff tastes medicinal rather than the usual flavour of Frostshield brews. However, this is entirely rooted in the herbs used being able to greatly empower the drinker, and with alcohol as well, kill any sense of fear toward running into the fray.

Bladed Staff
A complex implement for both casting and stabbing, this dual-purpose melee and magic implement is useful for Spellsword class fighters.

Renderra Knight Torq
A twisted metal necklace with enchanted gems, typically emeralds for the Renderra necklace, made to teleport to the locations of the five Soulwood trees. That is the Soulwood Estate, Zanthran, the Frostshield Hall, Eagle's Peek, and Southern Torch, the Wakihisa home.

Worker's Athame
A Druid's knife, this is used to enter and exit ceremonies. Likewise, it is kept sharp to carve materials and prepare food. It makes an effective utility tool among the Ravens.

Fenghuang Arrows
Arrows enchanted and wrapped in oily rags to not only fly, but explode on contact. The originals are imbued with fire magic, but the Wakihisa have designed them for various enchantment effects.

Shawsheen Axe
An axe weighted for both melee combat and throwing, the Shawsheen Axe is useful for chopping wood, boarding ships, or fighting; whether it is up close and at a distance.

Relics of the Order

Relics of the Renderra, and by extension the Order of the Raven as a whole.

Choronlann
The Crownblade. Made from the original Warcrown of Tarannis Draiochta, which itself was made of many twisted, iron Torqs. The blade carries the ancestral energy of many Renderra, with Draconic carbon in the blade, and infused with the tears of Guthix himself. The hilt is a piece of Aethyros the Ent's remains, alongside some of Tyrion the First's very soul, to give it the trademark enchantment of not hurting those who will work toward Balance.

Shield of Alcides
A Shield passed from the Adrasteians, and lost during the First God Wars. During the Sliskean jncidents of the Sixth Age, the shield re-emerged. Created with a pained visage of a Demon in the shield, the shield is enchanted to spread fear itself. It is an old, forgotten style of craft that uses material that does not seem native to Gielinor, more in line with such from Terragard.

Teardrop

Thalia's sword, made in the style of the Sword of Edicts. The Blade is made of Renderra Sacred Rune Alloy, but the Demonic ash to make the blade came from a very powerful Chthonian. The Blade is a Paladin's blade, first and foremost, but when held by the blade in the style of half-swording, the gemstone pommel makes a vicious casting implement, similar to a Void Knight Mace. The Emeralds also serve to increase parries and disarms.

Staff of the Unseelie
A Dramen staff made into a wooden staff, the very essence of the cold, winter season. It is optimized for Lunar Spells, Aurora spells, Ice Spells, Wind and Water magic. The Dark side of Zanaris channels energy to the staff, enhancing its abilities overall.

The Frost Shield
Frozen by the breath of a Wyvern, and enchanted to hold its appearance, the Frost Shield is the symbol of Clan Frostshield, and itself holds a strong, chilling aura of winter. It can hinder magic in a localized area to cause 'brainfreeze' to a Mage, weakening their magic, lest they know Lunar protections.

Spear of the Hoyane
A spear passed down from one Shawsheen leader to the next, reserved for use only in time of war. The spear's head is made of bane metal, and is currently untuned. It is decorated with jet black raven feathers, eagle feathers, dragon, wolf, and bear claws. It is fixed to a shaft of darkened ash wood, and today is as much a spiritual focus as it is a spear.

Scales of the Riverlands
A breastplate of large scales made of mithril and shells, durable and allowing mobility. It has a significant advantage in summoning familiars of the Shawsheen's homeland.

Hiroto Blade of the Fenghuang
A long Owari Katana with a flame-like pattern between the steels. The Sword carries an enchantment that allows it to set itself alight with fire magic without damage to the sword's integrity.

Way of the Wakihisa
A holy scroll box, carrying a scroll detailing the Way of Gu, and the myths of the Fenghuang Firebird, of great importance to the Hiroto and in turn, their Wakihisa descendants.

The Slayer's Axe
The Axe of Zarin Renderra, a hydrix-infused sacred metal Pollaxe designed to target monsters marked by Death himself. It ripples with divine energy, as though surplus runs through and around the now shattered blade.

Raven's Talon
The Sword of Natalie Renderra, Raven's Talon is a Sacred Metal hand-and-a-half sword, similar to Choronlann. It's emerald hilt pieces make it effective at parrying and disarming.
