From the port of Catherby, the Eastern Fleet of Kandarin had been given orders. The massive hulls of the fleet's flagship, the Onyx roared to life and it began its descent down South along with the Ruby, Emerald, Topaz, Steel, Gold, and Blood Diamond. Many small ships accompanied the larger vessels as they started up the long journey to their new destination.

The East would be their new home for quite some time if everything happened accordingly.

He had never enjoyed the Karamjan climate.

Even on the northernmost banks of the Brimhaven peninsula, where the relentless sea breeze offered some respite, he still found the humidity unbearable, and his skin glistening with sweat each time he stepped into the sun's glare. How he had weathered this heat since he left Camelot, Saradomin only knew.

The cold felt like a distant memory, and snow a fairytale. Despite that, he did remember snow -- or at least he thought he did. In his head he could conjure a fleeting image of standing atop the ramparts of the Citadel's northernmost tower and watching the fields of Sinclair glazed white, and the frozen waters of Lake Reynard like molten silver gleaming in the pale Wintumber light.

But that was all a memory. Even his new home, the once beating heart of Camelot's wealth,
felt like a memory. Though Port Pendragon had once been a bastion of trade, now it looked like a ruin that had stood for thousands of years. The stubble of charred foundations dipped from the red soil where the foliage did not obscure them, though the bottom floor of the old motte-and-baily still stood at the head of the peninsula, though he seldom strayed near it --
Sir Vey said it had become a nest of Jungle Spiders.

Though there was still the ship.

The Red Star had once been a sea-faring galleon capable of transporting hundreds of soldiers, and thousands of crates of cargo, though now it barely housed a dozen men. Though it often sadened him to think the titanic ship would never cross the sea again, it did serve as a home for him, beached against the shores of Port Pendragon on the Brimhaven peninsula.

Even in this distant land, it had a homely feel to it. The gunwales were a Camelot maple, and even though over half a century had passed since the ship's construction, he could still sense a sweet smell if he pressed his nose against it. The masts were Camelot cedar, tempered by the snowy winds of Sinclair, and reinforced with Camelot iron, made with coal from the depths of Vaterra's mine shafts.

Most importantly though, were the emblazoned sails. Decades had passed and innumerable repairs had been made -- with foreign cloth, to his dissapointment -- but the core of the banner remained intact. The main sail, which was flew at a quarter-mast, was of a red wool darkened with age to the point where it was nearly a black scarlet. The device had once been King Sennis' golden lder tree, thick trunked with a plethora of branches, though age had turned it bronze. That was the oldest of the sails, and the repairs done to the edges in lieu of age and weather-damage were obvious, as the red was a richer, and brighter colour. Beneath it, a smaller, though still massive, sail was splayed between the nettings and the central mast. Though younger than the main sail emblazoned with King Sennis' tree, the scarlet-coloured sail that boasted King Rhames' fiery lion was still touched with age. Whereas once the woolen flames that enreathed the lions head had been bright red, like real fire, they know looked like aged rubies that had lost their colour.

Those sails, those banners, had always been like storybooks to him.

He would sit cross-legged by the masts, staring up at the lion and the elder tree, and conjured up adventures in his head, about where those banners had been, what they had seen. Sometimes, the stories brought him to White Wolf Mountain, where the Knights of the Round Table once summoned a Spirit Dragon, or to the fabled battle that had occurred on Karamja itself, where the forces of humanity clashed against the Chosen Battalion. He had visited that battlefield once, escorted by Sir Vey, but had been disappointed to learn that time had swallowed all traces of the battle.

On the morning the letter had arrived, delivered by a wayward loyalist from the mainland,
he did not look up at those banners, those storybooks, with the disenfranchised sense of nostalgia he'd carried for these past years.

No. Now he looked to those old, tattered banners with a sense of hope. It was time for a new banner - a new storybook.

It was time to go home.

To His Majesty, King Dain I Ironhand,

King Baldwin of Anglia formally extends his hand to you and your Household to travel to Burthorpe to meet and dine with the Grey Household. Burthorpe and the Clans of Keldagrim have long standing relations and a mutual enemy in the trolls of the Mountains. A relationship His Majesty is deeply invested in seeing continued.

We await you with open arms,
Secretary to the King,
Oswyn de'Moreau

For upcoming events and RP's;

For those who wish to play a part of the Nobility/Court there will be fruther dipolmatic meetings between Al-Kharid and now the Dwarves for trade agreements.

For those who wish to takepart in the Imperial Guard and a military side of the House; King Baldwin issued orders to the would be Marshal of the Guard, Ian, to arrest a rebellious Earl. @ Ian if you want to take part with that or have any other ideas or thoughts you want to see happen with the Guard.

This weekend we will be aiming to do the classic coronation followed by a bit of a party.

A weekly RP Night at the Flute and Loot is on the table also for something a bit more casual and open to all characters.

IF you would like an invite to the Discord, send me or Jim a PM to get you added into it.

There is also a few Grey siblings open. If you wish to join the Household, send a PM to Jim.
