Or you could just enlist and practice fencing irl. That's how I base off most of my moves.

This was actually based off of German and Italian medieval treatises on fighting with a longsword while ''unarmored''. Just thought that'd fascinate you.

I have a slight hunch the people who did this to survive a few centuries ago knew what they were doing. Just a slight one.

Indeed, there's also historical fencing that is a practice and profession aimed to recreate the moves and fundamentals of several eras of combat. It's how we know such information.
"The gods envy us. They envy us because we're mortal, because any moment may be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we're doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again." - Achilles, Troy

There's also HEMA, Historical European Martial Arts, it's a sport in the Netherlands.

Yes, let's not forget them.

Along with other organisations listed on W**tenauer. It's like w*kiped*a, but for medieval treatises and academically reliable.
