Another winter morning had risen over the Misthalin landscape, with it, something new...
On the outer wall of Varrock Palace, as the sun barely rose, Prince Aaron II placed a pike atop it. On display to the city and the world, the pike held the head of the former Archbishop of Misthalin and Grand Inquisitor of Saradomin, Armond Aberdire. The eyes of the bishop stared out blankly into the city of Varrock, with a large note attached to the pike below the head. It read:

'THE PRICE OF TREASON IS DEATH'

The Lansing Interdict: Amended (MK II)

Not long after the issuing of the Interdict, it was amended, with the unveiling of the summary execution of Armond. It was nailed to the noticeboards and doors of, first, the churches in Varrock, then all of Misthalin. It did not take long for it to be reproduced across the lands, and show its face on every Church in the Human Kingdoms.

Due to the unprovoked aggression towards Saradomin's Holy Church, and thus Saradomin's own Peoples, and the grave sins committed by the Royal Family of Misthalin, primarily Queen Elrina and her direct family, we issue an Interdict against the Lansing Family, specifically, but also extend this to the populace of Misthalin. It saddens us to do so, but the falsifying of evidence to undermine our Divinely appointed authority and the incarceration and unjust, summary execution of our Archbishop of Misthalin, who has served nothing but the Lord's and His People's interests, demands immediate action and consequence.

In light of this Interdict, which denies any who bear the name Lansing, and are of relation to the Queen and her father, and also the people of Misthalin, to the rights of penance, marriage and so forth, as outlined in the Book of Order, it is approved that, until such a time as the Lansing Family is purified, all Saradominists are to protest non-violently the rule of the Lansing Dynasty over Misthalin.

Until such a time as Elrina and her family are brought to justice, by abdication, deposition or admittance and acceptance of their sins before Ourselves, this Interdict will lay heavily on all of their shoulders and the people of Misthalin.

Te Deum Laudamus,
Julian-s Primus.

i leave for one day.....

I come home one morning and Lothar's dead.
I wake up the next and this happened.

Everything happens when I'm asleep.

I felt like this always happened to me too; everything big going on when I'm not around.
All these sins disguised as blessings

A humble village farmer walked into the center of Sarim. Some citizens were discussing the new buzz of the duchy. As the farmer began to speak, some would gather around to listen. Some might even take his word to heart, and discuss it themselves in the bars and the pubs. Real questions would be raised about what exactly was happening in their homeland.

"What madness is this that has overtaken our fair home? Today, I witnessed the Duke's men take away a Preacher who has been in our community for decades. This man is the one who washed my head, and my father's head as babies, and brought us the word of Saradomin in our humble chapel.

I know I am but a simple village man, and I do not fully understand what happened in the far away courts of Varrock, but I do know my local preacher. Our local preacher was a simple man of faith, not a criminal deserving of suspicion and intense slander. He has never given us reason to think he is corrupt.

I cannot read very well, but as I am told, my local preacher was asked to "explain his corruption to the People they pretend to serve. " I do not know if the Duke simply seeks to take the lands and wealth of the church for himself, or he simply despises our faith as he hinted when he crushed the holy symbol of our faith, but such a warrant already marks him as a guilty man. One whom has served my little village longer than this Duke.

The Duke has rounded up an entire social class of our community, one of reverence and respect. I am young, but even my fathers have never spoken of such a mass incarceration. I would never accuse my Duke of his own corruption, but I humbly ask him, as his citizen, to consider the nature of his actions against the words he speaks."

With that, the humble man returned to his village, merely offering the perspective of someone who had likely never even seen a real soldier. Till they came to take away a man he knew all his life, and had nothing to do with some Misthalinite incident.

With the icy wind nipping at the faces and tearing at the heaviest clothing of all the citizens of Varrock who had come to hear the words from the Crown, Queen Elrina stepped out into view, her green eyes steadily looking over the said crowd.

"Let me preface by saying that the action that is being taken now is not an Inquisition against the Saradominst populace within Misthalin. Never in my life have did I think an organized religious group that claims to be as good and pure as the clergy of Saradomin would ever be capable of making such dire and petty threats against Misthalin's people. I am here to tell the world the truth of the events that have transpired to lead us to this situation so that any decision made can be an informed one.

Grand Duke Lothar Cross was branded a heretic against the Saradominst Church and was thereby declared their enemy. I am sure you all have heard the news of his untimely death. Archbishop Armond questioned the circumstances of his death and returned from Camelot's gala with me to question my mother regarding the incident.

Upon finding her guiltless, he demanded to see Cross's body. And when he did, he closed himself in the room and stole the former Grand Duke's body by means of teleportation. My sister, Crown Princess and interim Duchess of Lumbridge Lunina Lansing, and I entered the room and demanded he cease. He did not.

When we attempted an arrest, he resisted and attacked us both. Eventually we subdued him and placed him in a cell. His portal remained open and a representative of the Saradominst church entered, demanding we release Archbishop Armond to him, or the Salve Barrier would be dispatched of."

Elrina paused to let the shocked, outraged and cries of disbelief echo through the crowd before continuing.

"If any of you are wondering, stealing is a crime. Resisting arrest is a crime. Attacking a queen and the Crown Princess is a crime. Threatening another invasion from the Vampyres of the east is a crime and a threat not only against me and my relatives, but you and all of the citizens that call Gielinor their home. Crimes like these are punishable by death and that is exactly what happened to Archbishop Armond.

I must say again that my qualms are not with Saradominism as a whole, but only against those who use it as justification to threaten and attempt to kill anyone that does not share their same view. So I urge you, people of Varrock, Misthalin, any kingdom or village large or small, and Gielinor as a whole to think of who you are and what you believe in before you pick up your blade with intent to kill because of a church's wounded pride that the law of Misthalin and the protection of her people are more important than showing special treatment. Thank you."

And with that, Elrina returned to the castle.

"... Lies! ... Deceit! ... Godless conspiracy and murder!..." Six words that stood out in Father Aberdire's next tirade: six words that became very popular amongst local preachers.

All the while, the Rector's plea for non-violent protest remained. There was no cry for violence: but that didn't mean there wasn't to be any.

As all the Church Officials came to the People's Court, the small time local preachers were pardoned and allowed to return with a small fund of money in return for the trouble. They would be escorted home by the SDF to ensure nothing happened to them on the road. These were the men and women they had grown up with, there was no way the Corruption of the Church was on this small of a level, though as they rose higher in the ranks, more and more were being held for a second round of questioning.

Note, they will be an actual Role-Play People's Court of high ranking Church Officials in the Region, contact myself, Dan, or Ellen for more information. The Committee will have 3-5 members on it.

Whatever else happened around them, a small village in Sarim celebrated the return of it's local preacher.
