Civilian Laws


Obviously as this is the wilderness it cannot be made subject to the same laws as the Kingdoms of men but there remain some laws not to be broken.

- No man or faction may assault the property, officers or serving men of the Empire under pain of death
- Plotting against your king will still be considered high treason punishable by death
- Any man found to be guilty of murdering a family member will be sentenced to exile or death
- Any man caught plundering an Imperial stockpile will be sentenced to lose a hand

Military Law


- It shall be an offense punishable by death to kill a target without authorization
- It shall be an offense punishable by death if you are discovered attempting to kill a superior officer
-It shall be an offense punishable by death to dessert your post at any time without leave
-It shall be an offense punishable by a stoning (possibly survivable) to sabotage or spy on the Empire unless it is deemed you should be captured for questioning.
- It shall be an offense punishable by a week in the stocks to steal anything from the stores of a value of less than a 100 gold. Anything over that value will result in being delivered to Fort Pyro.

Religious Law


- It is forbidden to practice the worship of Saradomin or Zaros in the sacred South East region.
- It is forbidden to be a member of the Cult of Tak anywhere within the kingdom.
- It is forbidden to practice Soul magic anywhere in the kingdom.
- It is forbidden to break any oath made during a Blood Pact

Trade Laws


- All goods made by the Empire or its colonies may pass through its borders free of charge.
-All goods made by Category 1 trade partners may pass through the borders free of charge.
-All goods made by Category 2 trade partners must pay 5% of the value of their goods to pass through the borders.
-All goods made by Category 3 trade partners must pay 10% of the value of their goods to pass through the borders.
-All goods made by factions that are not trade partners must pay 15% of the value of their goods to pass through the borders.
-Any goods that bring harm to the Union in any way or appear to present a danger to it will be subject to confiscation.

The King's Law


The following are the duties and laws the king of the realm is bound by.

- The King shall respond immediately to any threat to the realm.
- The King shall not order any attack on any citizen of the realm unless they have risen up in rebellion.
- The King shall not detain the freedom of any man unless they have broken the law, or freeing them puts the kingdom at risk.
- The King shall not deny any citizen the rights of the Law of Freedom.

The Law of Freedom


Forinthry is a free land, full of free people and as such the law of freedom was created. When invoked this law allows the citizen in question to release themselves from all the laws of the kingdom, both those that restrain him and protect him. It can be taken because one feels the laws are unjust, or so that you can exact revenge against a man who wronged you in person but afterwards you lose all rights to support or aid from the kingdom and most who have chosen this option choose exile soon after. It should be noted that if someone intended to abuse this right just to break the law, the Empire would be free to kill that person for their trouble if it so chose.

The following groups/individuals are outlaws in the realm, a suitable reward would be produced for their capture:

- The Sicarius
- The followers of Dion Magnan
- Creatures of the Infest
- All followers of the Cult of Tak

The Courts


Each court of law in the Kingdom of Forinthry will be chaired either by the King or the respective member of the ruling council (High Priest for Religious law, Lord Protector for Civilian Law ect) who will act as Judge. The jury will be made up of three individuals from the ruling council or nobility of the kingdom. Each witness will be required to swear a Blood Pact to assure the court they will tell the truth. Trial by Combat is permitted.

Defenders of the Realm


The defenders of the realm under the command of the Lord Protector are the body of men sworn to protect the kingdom from all threats both foreign and domestic. To that end the defenders are split into two groups, the guards and the inspectors. The guards job is simple, they man the wall under the watch of the Lord Protector to ensure the defense of the realm. The inspectors while making up only 10% of the group are considered the more dangerous organisation. Often accused of getting their information from the Z.I.I. the inspectors tour the kingdom, looking for criminals and removing internal threats.
