The Kingdom of Hynafiaid is a unique kingdom, in that it does not follow traditional boundaries or borders that kingdoms before it used to have. It does not fall under the title of the 'Kingdom of Camelot' or the 'Kingdom of Ardougne'; it is an entirely new entity. Because of this, the lands it encompasses are split up into many feudalistic, heavily nepotistic land grants for better centralization of government.

The Kingdom is split into three duchies- The Duchy of Iliara, the Duchy of Kantor and the Duchy of Deheuol Tiroedd. The Duchy of Deheuol Tiroedd serves as the capitol duchy- the crownlands- ruled as the demesne of King Nolfinwë. Within the duchies are many counties,
viscounties and baronies; those that have been developed upon will be listed in the following posts.

The Duchy of Deheuol Tiroedd

Major settlements: Hailawën (Capitol), Keep La Faye

The Duchy of Deheuol Tiroedd is the crownlands duchy of the Kingdom of Hynafiaid. The only duchy populated by a majority of elves, it is also the smallest duchy; its borders only stretching to encompass two counties- the County of Hailawën and the County of La Faye.
The duchy notably includes the only major port on the east coast of the kingdom- Keep La Faye- and is covered in dense woods, guarding the capitol from attacks on its north and southern guards.

Smaller encampments and settlements of elves exist within the duchy, and though often times they rarely make much influence in the kingdom, they serve to bring in resources from the local woodlands back into the wealthy, walled city of stone that is Hailawën.

County of Hailawën

The capitol of the elven kingdom, this city of stone walls is the largest settlement of elves east of Arandar. Housing Telemmaitë Manor, the city not only acts as a trade conduit for goods from Hemenster to La Faye, but also acts as a secure place of refuge for the royal family when a crisis occurs.

(Occupied by King Nolfinwë [Bloxzor])

County of La Faye

The only coastal county on the eastern shore of Hynafiaid, La Faye acts as a major conduit for goods flowing in from Asgarnia and even further east into the elven kingdom- as well as a decent fortress for spotting against enemy landings.

(Occupied by the Arens [Vynri Aren])

The Duchy of Kantor

Major settlements: Baxtorian Falls (Capitol), Hemenster, Fort Aegis

The center of the kingdom, one might think this would be the capitol duchy, given the wealth of trade that flows through it. Straddling Lake Hemenster, the duchy contains a variety of scenery- from the shanty fishing capitol of Hemenster itself, to the Serenist holy site of Baxtorian Falls; the duchy attracts many visitors with opportunities for men and elves alike.

(Occupied by Duchess Tailynn [Lianna98])

County of Baxtorian Falls

The resting place of Queen Glarial and a holy site for many elves, this key point in Baxtorian's former empire is now the capitol of the elven-held duchy. Spanning from the waterfall itself across the southern hills and plains, it enjoys relative isolation and safety that much of the rest of the kingdom does not enjoy, being squeezed inbetween multiple major powers.

County of Hemenster

Traditionally the capitol duchy of the region, now lacking its former significance now under elven lordship still shares a close border and historical tie with Fort Aegis; which helps to keep the citizens happy and feeling safe, a fair distance from Hailawën. The county enjoys wealth of trade routes from Lake Hemenster to the Kingdom of Ironfalls in the isles north of the elven kingdom.

Duchy of Iliara

Major Settlements: Piscatoris (Capitol)

The Duchy of Iliara is a duchy only by heritage by House Le'Gaunt. Otherwise, it could be better classified as a territory. Having very few major settlements beyond a fishing colony in the north that serves as a capitol for the region, it's mostly a wide expanse of land divided into several counties; including chunks of Arandar. In cooperation with the elves from Prifddinas, King Nolfinwë has maintained an unspoken rule of not trespassing on the rights of Prifddinian elves living in that region so long as they don't try to cause trouble for his own kingdom.

(Occupied by noone)

County of Piscatoris

Serving as the capitol for the vast duchy, Piscatoris is a capitol marked by past problems with troll invaders and an economy limited to fishing, with little outside interaction. It's far from the rest of the duchy, and as a result generally lets the rest of the duchy's counts or countesses get along with some degree of autonomy.

County of Tirhela

A vast, open range of nearly untamed wilderness; Tirhela is only remarkable for its combat academy used by reserve forces for training and the watchtower used to keep an eye on its southern contenders. It does share a significant border with the gnomish stronghold, but they interact very little.

(Occupied by noone)

County of Arandar

The largest features of Arandar happen to be a small outpost also used in joint efforts with the County of Tirhela's to watch for the threat of a southern invasion, and the pass used by Prifddinian Elves and Hailawënite Elves to exchange supplies and information between the worlds east and west of the mountains. The Count or Countess here is often influenced by the word of the elders in Prifddinas, serving with more autonomy as opposed to the rest of Hynafiaid's centralized realm.
