From the Office of Hynafiaid's High Inquisitor, Aeronwen Cadarn:

A recent rash of fights within local establishments and unregulated duels has led the High Inquisitor to establish edicts regarding fighting and duelling within the Kingdom of Hynafiaid. The following laws shall be enacted immediately:

Edict 1: There is to be no fighting within local establishments, including but not limited to Taverns, Inns, Brothels, and Bars. The result of being found guilty of participating in an unregulated fight in one of these establishments will be severe reprimand from the High Inquisitor, fitting punishment decided upon by the Inquisitor herself. If one is found to have acted in self-defense, no punishment will be given.

Edict 2: There is to be no murder without just cause of self-defense or defense of others within the Kingdom of Hynafiaid. The punishment for being found guilty of murder will be decided upon by the Elven Council, namely Uchel Inquisitor Aeronwen Iorwerth and Uwchfeistr Merca Undomer. Should the citizen in question resist to enacted punishments, the sentence immediately escalates to execution.

Edict 3: If any disputes or grievances within the ranks of the amddiffynnwr cannot be settled with words, the duel must be overseen and sanctioned by an officer of the Ammifyder Uchel outranking both duelling parties, an Inquisitor outranking any other soldier in this particular role. The terms of the duel must be agreed upon by all parties involved, both combatants and the referee. If a person is found guilty of participating in an unregulated duel, the punishment will be the same as if they had unlawfully attacked another elf.
