Currently, the ruins of the First Tower are sealed off and warded by the Archmage to prevent entry until they're deemed safe for a full exploration. Please, be decent and come see the Archmage to get an entry-ticket to the ruins.

The Tower Grounds

The Tower Island now houses considerably more spellwisps, enabling people to practice combative magics anywhere on the island. A summoning obelisk also now sits on the south-west side of the island, near the fairy ring (which is dismanteled for safety reasons, the mushrooms that were removed stored into the vault). Pillars with glowing blue lights sitting atop them (akin to those on the bridge) are dotted around the edge of the island, specifically to ensure no-one falls into the water at night.

Please note that the Wizard Tower is still heavily protected from all demonic influences with a set of wards. The Wards have also been expanded to cover the entirety of the tower island and the bridge, rather than just the building itself. Demons are not welcome in this place after the attacks made by them in the past.

The ground floor remains mostly unchanged from its in-game design. The statue of Saradomin in the lobby has been removed and the organ is in its own soundproof room. Many tables are free to use for studies and copies of all the books that are found in the library upstairs are also found in the floating book columns in the main hall.

A noticeboard is entrance hall as well. Please keep a good look out on this for events and other things so that you are well informed about everything that goes on in the Tower. Outsiders of the Tower are free to post a job or a chore they seem fitting for the tower on this as well. Jobs that are too unfitting for the Tower will be taken down nearly instantly by the Rune Guardian stood next to the board, who is keeping an eye out for jokers as well.

Floating blue flamed torches keep the place bright and vibrant during the night times as well as the beam, that always radiates bright blue during all hours of the day.

The two statues in the back would be heroic positioned marble pieces of art, depicting Archmage Dour on the left and Archmage Ignatius on the right, showing off the famous duo of Sixth Age Archmages.

Generally speaking everything on the first floor is scaled and used by a multitude of Tower people.

North we have the Arcane Device. No doubt it serves a very important purpose, but only the wizards know what it does. Below that we have the hall of the elements. Entrapped nodes of Runic energy are being kept on display here for study and power withdrawal to empower for example wands and staves. Be sure to check out the display of butterflies.

East of the beam is a locked door. Nothing is heard behind it, nothing is seen through the lock and the door itself is made out of a thick metal material.

The rest of these rooms serve as workspaces for the public. All are free to use for all visitors of the Tower during all hours of the day. Potions can be brewed, metal can be mended and items can be enchanted in these extra thick walled rooms in which one can experiment to their hearts content. After you’re done in the labs, cool down on the balcony close by, fresh air really helps after blowing something up.

The third floor is mainly for the visitors of The Tower. The four rooms to the sides of the Tower are for the people that wish to spend more than a day at the Tower. Spend the night quietly with a magicaly locked door to keep you safe so that you can continue to study the next morning.


To the north of the beam is the well sorted and nearly never quiet Tower Library. Visitors can borrow books here and take them anywhere they want in the Tower or just sit in one of the many conveniently placed floating chairs. A small cabinet of non-alcohol drinks has been placed underneath every coffee table as well. Chatting in this room is not-forbidden. People can come here to meet and argue about all things magic.


South of the beam we have the office of the Archmage. Please knock before entering and make sure you 'call in advance' so that the Archmage can actually be there to meet with you.

Top Floor

The top floor of The Tower gives an excellent view over the surrounding towns, cities and ports. To make sure nobody falls off this Tower, the top edge of the Tower has a build in teleport system that automatically teleports the target to the entrance of the Tower once the target's full body cross the edge of the Tower.

The portals towards the Runespan and Runecrafter's Guild are open to the visitors of the Tower. Make sure to be prepared for whatever you face in the Runespan, come prepared with food and ways to contact someone in case you get lost. Runes created will taken from you, though you are allowed to keep some (Death, Chaos and Blood runes are always taken from you) for your own personal use when at the Tower. This is too prevent stores around various kingdoms to go bankrupt and to make sure individual sellers of runes are assured of income.

Hidden deep beneath the Tower, behind portals, wards and many traps, lies The Vault . An insanely secure arcane chamber to contain the world's most powerful artifacts. Only few have laid eyes on the content, to most, the content of it would not be known, only in rumors.
