How was it created?: Yliaster's precise origins are uncertain.
Appearance/Material: The exact form the weapon takes and what it is made from are wholly unknowable, due to it's nature.
What can it do?: The weapon is permanently concealed in a shroud of invisibility, concealing it's length and width. Keen wielders can actually cause the weapon to shift between what seems to be a sword, and a weapon with the length of a spear. It's precise cutting edges are unknown.
Weapon History: Yliaster's precise origins are uncertain. There is however a pair of tales from the Northern Tundra and the Wushanko Isles that seem deal with an object fitting Yliaster's description. In it, a warrior beseeches the primordial spirits of his land to be granted the means to drive their enemies away from their homes. In both of the tales, the hero was granted a weapon that could not be seen by the ***** eye. The heroes each managed to free their village, at which point the weapon disappeared from their grasp and was lost forever. The concrete facts of this item, whether it truly is the same object or utterly unrelated are unknown.
At some point in the years preceding the beginning of the Rift Wars, an object similar to the one in legends fell into the hands of a private collector.
