"Brief" History: The tale of X began in another timeline entirely, and started very modest. He was born in a dilapidated ruin of a farmstead, the last holding of a defunct family of nobility. His family had fallen into crippling poverty, and when presented with a chance for relief, they took it. The young lad was sold to the Saradominist Inquisition, and from the age of five to thirty he was under their employ. He mastered many techniques both martial and mental, and was quickly becoming their top operative. Unfortunately however, he had started a family with a beautiful fremminik woman he had made the acquaintance of.
The misfortune in that turn of events came years later, however, when a cabal of necromancers he had investigated found his home. His family was put the to the sword, and he believed all of them dead. His grief turned into cold rage, and he spent six months hunting down every member of the cabal and killing them in drawn out, abhorrently painful ways. His revenge complete, the man was left with nothing but his sorrow, and he cloistered himself away in his studies. The precise nature of what caused the incident remains unknown, but his familial 'curse' was activated. The man lied in agony for seven days and nights without rest, and emerged from his lair changed. He was no longer strictly human. He did not require air to breathe, or food to eat. He could manipulate the energies of the world around him, and he did not rot.
His was a time of mass upheaval and destruction, as stronger and stronger villains and otherworldly armies sought entry to Gielinor, and X and his newfound colleagues of the world fought almost constantly to preserve it against their enemies. In time, his technological innovation had allowed him to send his personal army, the Vindicators, across the gulf of stars to other worlds. He sought to bring mankind to it's rightful place of dominance, and his technological marvels were endless. (Con't)
