Appearance: Richard stands at 5, 10; with thick, medium length dark brown hair and bright amber eyes.
Brief History: Richard was born into a fairly wealthy and somewhat large family within Asgarnia who owns a decent sized trading company, having a long history spanning back several generations. Said company is mainly naval based, owning several merchant vessels, though also owning a few buildings within Port Sarim, including a couple of large warehouses and a general store, albeit the latter of those belonging to a branch family.
Richard was born in Port Sarim, the third oldest child of five within his family. He grew up there until the age of 10, before from then on spending much of his life travelling. He did*’t usually stay in one place for very long, though he found the faces that went with him to always remain mostly consistent. Port Sarim however has always been a large focal point in his life however, returning there time and time again due to that being where his family mainly operates from. Although his family paid for tutors for him up until he was ten, from then on most of his teachers would be skilled crewmen or family friends working for the family. From them and the rest of his family, he learned mostly everything he knows, from geography and navigation, to his knowledge of trading, to his swordsmanship. Due to his family having a history with pirates, every member of such is taught from a young age to be as self-dependent as possible, being able to fend and fight for themselves where needed. At the age of 21, he received his own vessel to captain in order to aid in his family’s business, albeit not without a very capable crew and some of the family’s trusted friends to make sure he did*’t get himself killed and his ship sunk. Admittedly, even as his ship’s captain, for the first couple of years he acted more of a figurehead in this role than anything.
