- I was the largest advocate for recognition that not all roleplayers strictly use text in the first place, and at that time, the brunt of everyone here was either hated that or were neutral. Now most the players who let their in game accomplishments intermingle with their writing are gone anyway, so I consolidated it. We're hurting for new blood, I'm trying to make the guide better through simplification and concise-ness so we can get that new blood. It could, however, do with a little more elaboration, brought to my attention from a self-proclaimed themeplayer. I'll work on that.

- There are no veiled gripes. A bit of tongue-in-cheek, sure. I am a bit of a snarky person, but there are no actual gripes. I believe guides are more compelling if the OP has a bit of personality.

- Additionally, the trends section is copied from our wiki with some edits by me. The inclusion of this is to let new people know which tropes to tread lightly upon. Does anyone really want to see another newbie become a rofl-assassin? If you believe the wording to be too harsh, you're free to offer a rewording that I'll give a fair consideration. Or perhaps, the section replaced entirely? That too.

- But you know what, Measure? I don't wish to drag it in here as it is technically a matter in game, but several days and several times did I PM you in hopes to talk to you privately so we can come to a a mutual understanding. You never responded, not even once. You clearly disfavor me for whatever reason, yet we have never played together, not even had a proper conversation. Now in consideration that you are the only one to complain about what I have done here (even seemingly keeping a tab on this thread like some cop), yet you won't even have the maturity to actually talk to me, you shouldn't have a say. You won't have a say until your maturity matches the self importance you have. I have you on my list in game - send me a message anytime you see me on.
Save yourself.
Savior self.

We attempted to override our traditions to prevent Faey from hosting the guide.

We were overruled.

The Guide never was, never has been and never will be the same for every author. It never has and never will remain constant under any one author. Each holder thus far has produced several revised editions of the Guide.

The issue here isn't that you don't want the Guide edited from Natalie's final edition - it's that you don't want Faey producing her own rendition.

If you find there to be an issue which you perceive to be rulebreaking, then you can and should report it to Forum Help. We all know that you, of all people, are all too familiar with Forum Help. I heard it's one of your favourite places to hang out and post.

If there is an issue in that you find something out of place, then you are well within your rights to bring it up for open discussion.

You're clearly intelligent enough to know that what you are doing right now is neither of the acceptable responses, but snide criticism disguised as critique attempting to veil your dislike for Faeyrin's position. I'd know - I've been guilty of it, too.

I should add, however, that there are changes that should possibly be made, and I'll be working with others to compile a list of suggestions in the near future. However, there is a way to go about things, and a way to not go about things. Need I say more?

Trying to make a thread more concise by adding a long, unnecessary copy-paste from the wiki doesn't really make any sense to me, especially since that copy-paste is more suited to the wiki in the first place. Also, your tongue-in-cheek does not support your claims of being "concise", which is why I suggested it be made more professional to begin with.

As you should. It should not have been removed in the first place.

I always respond to my PM's in game unless I happen to be afk (which is fairly often, as I do run multiple accounts. With that said, my issue isn't with you, but with the thread. This is a place to discuss our concerns with the thread rather than searching you out in game.

And a tweaking of the 'Trends' section to sound less disparaging.

I am not the only one who disagrees with your new additions.

I see no rulebreaking, and I am not reporting anything here for rulebreaking.

I pointed out two things out of place in my post:
- The Trends Section
- Two missing sections (Themeplay and Descriptive Roleplay)

Feel free to discuss those and not me, eh?

Fae made a guide. It's a good guide. It needs a little more detail here and there, but it does what it is meant to do, and well.

I don't see much of the criticism this thread is getting as constructive in nature; needless to say, that makes it inappropriate.

The guide is here, and it works. Let's drop the pettiness and support Fae in her mission to improve the guide.

Now, in response to The Measure:

I agree that the guide would be improved with the inclusion of those two missing sections; however, I also think it should be done in a simple and concise manner, which is what Fae was going for with their removal. A guide that is too verbose is not going to get the readership it deserves, but the information needs to be conveyed there as comprehensively as it was before.

I think the Trends section is important and should remain. I've read it over several times and I can't at all see it as a veiled gripe or anything of the sort. The Trends section will help some of the smarter newbies to avoid being laughed at.

I gave the guide a read over, and I'll be honest, I think it'd do more harm than good for a new roleplayer. I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox

and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast

Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold

Mmm it could result in the new player taking dislike to certain things but on the most part the thread isn't really harmful it could be better for sure?not that i could do any better mind.

I would always be cautious when using humor in a guide but having a bit of personality isn't a terrible thing.

In conclusion i have no conclusion don't mind me waffling over here.
Noice.
