Brief Description: An ancient & enduring family with a deep connection to the element of earth, House Vernet is best known for the high quality of their craftsmanship when it comes to earthen material - whether it be metal armors and weapons, stone buildings and sculptures, or gemstones and jewelry. Cultured and honorable, many members of the family pursue the more sophisticated art of dueling. The Vernet, while extremely committed to the defense of their home, have a habit of disappearing entirely during times of utter catastrophe (save for a few family members) - re-emerging from hiding afterwards to assist with reconstruction efforts and re-establishment of order.

The acting custodian of the Duchy of Lumbridge hosted the Queen to pave the way for the new administration. The dire state of the region was apparent when their dinner was interrupted by a group of goblin interlopers who raided the kitchen and cellar, injuring Caspar in the process due to a severe shortage of guardsmen to defend them - the famine had left most in the garrison to temporarily abandon their posts to seek out odd jobs elsewhere. Marshal Troy Vernet has been stationed with Caspar Fredericks to help provide emergency aid to the region, both military and humanitarian, in order to get Lumbridge back on its feet.

A five-hundred gold piece bounty has been placed upon the goblins responsible for the murder of a chef and servant in Lumbridge Castle. They have been spotted in or around Varrock in the recent past. Both are heavily armed. They have been heard shouting 'Arrav'. One was called 'Dreadie' by his female companion.
