Her Majesty, Karma, the Queen of Misthalin, has formally met with His Majesty, William, the King of the Asgarnians to establish ties between the kingdoms, declaring that they shall come to the defense of each other in times of need and set generous trade agreements which will benefit the both of them in equal measure.

Trade agreements involve opening of both kingdom's markets to trade, along with a mutual 2% tariff to all merchants trading between Asgarnia and Misthalin. Let this be the beginnings of a beautiful friendship between our peoples.

Galean Delmar and Sahar set out from the Blue Moon Inn at sunset. The two members of the Thieves guild were on a mission: they needed weapons to arm their fellow guild members for an attack on the V.T.A.M. corporation, unofficially known as the Phoenix Gang. Galean and Sahar stuck to the long shadows cast by the setting sun as they made their way into the southwestern quarter of Varrock, stepping clear of a singing, blackout drunk man who happened to pass by. Approaching their target, a local storehouse used by the city guard that patrolled the area, they split up. Sahar ran up to the lone guard whom stood outside, while Galean doubled back around a small building to approach from a different angle. Sahar feigned tears and begged for help, pretending to be in some sort of trouble. The guard refused to leave his post, and tried to point her in the direction of the nearest garrison, but at that moment, a crossbow bolt struck the door next to him. It had been fired by Galean, who, by some terrible luck, had fallen just as he fired the crossbow. The guard pushed the girl away with his shield and hugged the wall opposite him, approaching the corner of the building, where the bolt had been fired from. Before stepping around the corner, he blindly stabbed his sword around it. As he rounded the corner, Galean stood there. "I do apologize, my good man." He said, while still pointing a loaded crossbow at the guard. Not accepting the apology, the guard ordered him to drop the bow. Galean fired the crossbow, and the bolt lodged itself in the guard's shield. He then turned and ran. The guard gave chase, but tripped over the drunken man from earlier. Galean taunted the guard before continuing to run. The guard followed, but lost Galean around a series of corners. Meanwhile, Sahar had broken into the storehouse and began to search for crates to loot while she awaited Galean's return. The guard had returned to his post.
"But we can fight."

"Then we fight."

Sahar, who was now on the second level, looked out of a hole in the wall to see the guard below, as well as Galean, peering around the corner of a nearby building. After some nonverbal communication, Sahar threw a helmet upon the guard down below. It crashed the side of his helmet, and then his pauldron. "What in Saradomin's bloody beard?" The guard shouted in response, thoroughly spooked and mildly dazed by the sudden impact from above. Sahar hid herself in an empty crate. He immediately unlocked and entered the storehouse, locking the door behind him. He set his shield aside and lit an oil lantern to light up the now almost pitch-black storehouse. He made his way upstairs and peered outside the opening that the helmet had been dropped from. Galean fired his crossbow at the guard's exposed head, killing him almost instantly. The guard's body fell forward against the planks that had been haphazardly nailed to block the opening. Sahar headed downstairs to unlock the door for Galean. While they congratulated themselves, the planks broke underneath the weight of the guard's body, which crushed the oil lantern that he had dropped. Galean and Sahar panicked, quickly grabbing a few crates of weapons before the fire spread. The stone walls contained the blaze, but the inside was reduced to ashes, charcoal, and deformed weapons and armor. A small plume of smoke would be visible to the residents of Varrock.
"But we can fight."

"Then we fight."

So! As a gauge of interest, I was thinking of reforming the Misthalin PoK to be somewhat more in line with the recent calls for a Jagex Lore Initiative. Mind, this doesn't mean you'll have to void or get rid of characters. Many are not quite landowners, and could easily be integrated into Jagex-only canon! Those who aren't, well, we can work that one out.

Personally speaking, Karma isn't the kind of person who would want to rule Misthalin to begin with. I was hoping to integrate this into the Jagex canon by having her step down, and King Roald returning to the throne, just to seal matters ICly, and keep things somewhat less confusing. Thankfully Roald hasn't done much between the novels and the current questline in game, so, he has a bit of a reason for his inactivity. Regardless, I'm in strong opinion of returning the PoK to him.

Now, what are your opinions on this? How does it sit with y'all? I'd like to know!

Hi all!

This is not my thread and not my place to butt in, but I saw Drak's post and just wanted to say the following:

Even if you think your character could not make a clean transition to the JCI, I believe they absolutely can. I'm happy to offer my knowledge and experience to help anybody who would like additional perspective in solving how they could transition their characters - if you feel that is what holds you back from wanting to partake.

If you have questions or want to learn more about JCI, feel free to reach out to me in-game.

Happy roleplaying, and I hope we can see some of you all, regardless of your POK or no-POK stance, to join us at the daily roleplays that will be regularly featured in Varrock. :)
