Announcements:

1. The new thread has been completed and all information has been moved over. The previous Tower thread (The Wizard's Tower (W41)) is now a location for discussion of Thaumaturgy and the goal of maxing out the thread so keep posting on it even if it's just bumps.

2. I added new Arcs, I wasn't sure what the culmination of the second Grand Arc would be like (read: The Grand Arcs actually have a storyline that ties them together) but after completing Heart of Stone I have one, so we now have 14 arcs now.

3. Due to confusion I am here going to explain what's been changed due to the merge and why we are moving back /in/ to the Wizard's Tower instead of already being there. To explain why the Tower hasn't taken part in what has been going on in Asgarnia and Misthalin it has been ret-conned that we have been at Keep La Fey (under a different name) since Saleh's disappearance. Nothing that we've done in the arcs have changed other than instead of Falador being taken over by the Crimson King it was instead a landscaled city named Adriador which exists in the canon. Because of our recent conflict with the Archons (we've skipped to the end of that arc the full description can be found in its summary) the Council believes that we are a little too dangerous to be in the kingdom of Kandarin and have told us to move back to our old home the original Wizard's Tower in south Misthalin. Roe, Alex, and Connor went on ahead and fixed up the tower as it had been empty since our leaving and the locals hadn't been taking care of it. The locals are now happy with us as we saved their mill after it caught on fire.

New Combat System

For the last session we tried out a new combat system for the roleplay using mechanics taken from Dungeons and Dragons.

We used a system were we determined a turn order for actions using d20's for initative
d20's for accuracy of attacks (this can be further explained in chat)
then d6/d8/d10/d12 for actual damage to the target

We also added a d20 to allow characters to do difficult/complex tasks and to do perception checks on npc's, monsters, and their surroundings.

Forms of Damage

Melee:

- Slashing (extra damage against organic)
- Piercing (extra damage against armored)
- Crush (extra damage as stated later)

Magic:

- Fire (extra against Organic)
- Water (extra against Fire)
- Ice (extra similar to piercing)
- Earth (similar to crush)
- Air
- Dark (extra against Light/Holy)
- Light (extra against Dark/Unholy)

Ranged:

- Arrow/Bolt (similar to piercing)
- Axe/Knife (similar to slash)
