A roar of disapproval erupted from the crowds of Kandar people as the speech concluded. Men and women united in this moment to holler out in squalor against usurper to the Camelite throne. They knew the fate of their grand old kingdom as the declaration was signed. Tales from past rebellions told stories of total annihilation of rebel factions, the castles torn to the floors and beyond to the dark and fiery reaches of hell by mighty Kandar armies. The citizens would have no part in this usurpation, and neither would the garrison of Camelot that was stationed during this rebel outburst.
A riot formed in the streets by sundown, that golden scintillated light of dusk no longer shining beams of warm sunshine through the skies to the Arrandar. A black sky -- devoid of a moon as it was new -- loomed overhead. Clouds rolled forth and spilled the warm nighttime rains of coming Spring onto the resilient peoples standing true to their crimson-and-white standards, the colors of Kandarin, the rightful kingdom to rule these lands under the iron fist of Her Majesty Queen Senna.
The people protested the ruling at the gates of the castle, entrapping the usurper and his men within the halls of his purloin court. They did not spill forth through the gates, but let him settle within his throne as per his wishes and demands -- they let him stay to starve.
