In our reality, there were few Japanese pilots lost in the attack. Subsequent battles were fought with many of those pilots. Would the Japanese high command have delayed some of those battles?

Even if we had not had the loss of life and if the rest of the country did not fall in line, having any of those battle ship and other ships available would the war have been much different?

IF it was shorter, we would never have dropped the atomic bombs and its possible others would not have seen them then. Its undoubtedly true that the atomic build up would have happen, but perhaps at a later date. Perhaps they would have been used elsewhere.

IF it happened before the treaty with china and Russia, would we have given away north Korea? IF we had kept it, would the Korean war have happened. So much of our world could change. Would it be for the better or worse. Without the cold war and the atomic weapons build up, would we have gone to the moon?

It's difficult to answer this question, Can we take items to the past with us? Take a person along for the ride? Bring something back from the best to the future when we return?

You don't know what consequences may be born as a result of such reckless actions. Take only pictures and leave only footprints ^_^ .

IF I could go back to 1963 and take a small spy camera to when they filmed "an unearthy child", the first episode of Dr. Who. I would then follow and get all the early episodes on computer and bring them to the present. Many episodes have been lost, and to bring them to the present would be a gift to all whovians the world over.

If we wanna go realistic and one time only, I think I'd go back to '99 and just live from that point because I could buy Apple shares and just become richer as time goes on. Life also seemed better before the internet became an essential to life.

When 2001 arrives, I'll make a crap tonne of RS accounts with one letter usernames and snipe every rare I can only to return now and be the richest/coolest guy in game. :)

Uh.... I would probably time travel back prior to the colonization of the Americas and live somewhere in what is now North America.

The reason being that I think, despite the significantly lower life expectancy and overall difficulty of life, things were probably better back then. Life was about living , instead of our silly modern ideas of "success". And I feel like people were probably valued for what they individually brought to the group. Certainly, there were things people were required to do for the group, but slaving away at multiple, soulless part-time jobs for a wage that can't even be lived on wasn't one of them.

P.S. Basically, I'd go back to a time where I could get away from what is epitomized by the comments above mine. How many people here are basically writing "I'd get rich. I'd get rich. I'd get rich. I'd get rich."?
