I notice you mentioned that you watched "The making of Jaws"

Much love

Today I watched
The Hunger Games
(2012) I haven't seen it since way back when it first came out, and I forgot how it went and ended.

The contestants were not allowed to commit suicide and so the two of them became the winners

Some great actors including Jennifer Lawrence, Donald Sutherland, Woody Harrelson and Lenny Kravitz.

^ Love The Hunger Games.
There's a prequel coming later this year - no Jennifer, Donald or Woody as it's set 64 years before the original first film.

Last night I watched a Dutch/Danish horror film:
Speak No Evil
.

Struggling to think of how to describe it.. it's certainly unique, but it's also relentlessly horrible.
Yes, horror films are supposed to be horrible, but this one is just depressing and bleak.

I watched a documentary series last night about supposedly "cursed" films, that looks into stuff like the girl from Poltergeist dying really young, Bruce and Brandon Lee dying young, accidents on the set of The Omen etc.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10036104

It was pretty interesting with some mysteries debunked and others still unexplained.

Watched
The Pyramid
(2014) on Disney+. It's an Egyptology horror movie, with a cliché mysterious pyramid to be explored by our hapless heroes.

Sadly the whole film turned out to be pretty hapless - very obviously made on a very low budget ($6,500,000 according to IMDB). The special effects weren't bad, but weren't deployed often enough, and while the acting from the small cast was okay, the plot was generic, the sets were primitive, and there were too few actual scares: I think there was only one point that made me jump.

3.5/10. Cannot recommend unless you're really stuck for something to watch.

I've just read a couple of favourable reviews of Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3 , good to know it's not a disappointment, so many franchises run out of steam but all the reports so far are good.

Football for me tonight but I plan to revisit a couple of old favourite films over the weekend:
Watchmen and Spinal Tap.
