I've watched all the Harry Potter movies, but for the first time I'm reading the books. Would it be a mistake to watch the movies again? It's been a while and I miss you. Since it's been a while since I watched the movies, I'm afraid the books won't surprise me.

The films are very faithful to the books, so the books probably won't hold any surprises.
You could always start the first one, see how it goes.

Doing it the other way round was interesting, when reading the books I had mental images of how each character would look and sound, so the films were a surprise in that way at least.
