Just watched the first episode of Renai Flops and oh boy, were there innuendos everywhere.
I get it that its supposed to be ecchi and im not complaining by any means, so i can tell that this is going to be another one of the To Love-Ru type of series.
2017. Its a little weird but an interesting concept. I've decided I probably won't watch it again so I'm giving the dvd to a charity shop.
I found that movie slightly disappointing - although it lifted several scenes directly from the original anime, the original was still far better.

last night, prepared to be disappointed again... but it was a great episode.
Loads of interesting scheming and a totally unexpected huge moment!
Still not up to the standard set by GoT but at least it's held my interest enough to make me stick with it. It's the season finale next week so I'm hoping for a good episode.
Who's the cat that won't cop out when there's danger all about?
^I agree. It was a great episode, and also it is hard to beat Game of Thrones. I dont want to spoil it for anyone, but what I have come to realize is that a fully grown dragon is like a nuclear weapon that can lay waste to an entire city on its own.
For those who really know their Tolkien lore, not as many surprises as there might have been (it was pretty clear to me who the Stranger was from the get-go).
But we finally have our first sight of the Rings of Power themselves!
Otherwise... slow episode again. Not sure if LOTR:TROP will be able to continue to compete with GoT unless it picks up the pace a bit in the second series.

We binged that the last week, and while I haven't read the books, I did see the prior films last year and I did have my memory tested, not that it was super relevant. I thought the Stranger was obvious, but there was a few misdirects for fun all the same. I enjoyed it.
We started with HOTD but really I don't think the two series should be compared. They both do fantasy so differently imo.
LOTR does it with a fantastical flourish and GoT does it with more of a knifey gut punch lol
I think both of them are good but in their own ways.
Arrr! Only th' Devil an' I know th' where'bouts o' me treasure, an' th' one o' us who lives th' longes' should take i' all.
What's odd is that I wasn't that excited about LOTR but was really looking forward to HOTD... but I find Rings of Power to be a lot more interesting.
It's nice to have two huge shows like these running though!
I finished
The Watcher
last night and it was... ok, but no more.
It was too stretched - the 5½ hours it runs for is way too much, it would have made a decent 2 hour film.
The ending was a let down too
