Watched the first two episodes of the
LotR: The Rings of Power
.

On the fence about this one.

On the plus side:
- it looks very pretty
- the special effects are good
- Lenny Henry!
- inclusive cast

On the minus side
- weak script
- slow moving story so far
- terrible portrayal of Harfoots (stereotypical Irish travellers!)
- totally rewrites Galadriel's history as set out by Tolkien
- totally ignores Tolkien's history of the Akallabêth

Just started watching Better Call Saul. I'm up to S1E5.
It's excellent (so far). I was sceptical but it has proved me wrong! We'll see how it goes. Bob says:

Yeah, Better Call Saul is excellent :)

This blew my mind when I realised it.... Jimmy/Saul's brother Chuck is also David St Hubbins from Spinal Tap :O

LOL, I knew he looked familiar. Though to be fair, I thought he was just another famous actor I couldn't remember the name of. Yeah, great show so far, looking forward to watching it tonight. Bob says:

I watched the latest episode of
Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power
last night.

A bit of a slow one this week but still enjoyable. I've seen a few people complaining that it's all too slow, but there's going to be five seasons, there's no need to rush anything.

I binged the latest season of
Cobra Kai
over the weekend, love it :P
It's cheesy as hell in some parts but it works in the context of the story.

Also watched the latest
Thor
movie, wasn't really impressed. They're shoving too many jokes in now. I always liked subtle little humorous touches but it's getting ridiculous.
One reviewer said it's like a SNL Thor sketch... and that just about sums it up.

I watched episode 4 of
House of the Dragon
which was good.

I also watched the 6th and final episode of the first season of
Tales of the Walking Dead
Its quite good. Each episode is mostly about unknown characters, or some known characters.
