David just posted on Facebook:

A personal message to all the loyal followers of The Event Group and the Supernaturals...as I started writing the last five chapters of ‘Master of the World,’ (Event Group #12) accompanied by the last chapter of the promised Halloween release on ‘The Contest,’ I became aware of a medical problem that I assumed was just a case of being tired and working too hard...well, never self-diagnose yourself when it comes to your health. It seems I wasn’t as tired as I thought I was. It turns out that my eyesight was failing at a rapid pace. After many weeks of consultation with doctors, I am scheduled for double eye surgery on the fifth of November...normally I would be hesitant to share something as personal as health, but I owe my readership far more than a short comment, as dedicated as my readership is to my novels, I find I am as equally dedicated to you. I know this news will disappoint many (maybe not the Russians, lol) but until the eye surgery I am doubling efforts to get the sequel to ‘Season of the Witch’ out as soon as possible...Believe me when I say that I cherish each and every one of you that has involved yourselves in the adventures I pen, this is why you are entitled to know...be patient, the Event Group, The supernaturals and many stand-alone tales, are still being planned for many years to come...again, I apologize for being late, and I hope and pray to SEE you soon!

Your friend,

David L. Golemon

Damn, feel bad for him that he's having eyesight issues especially as an author you need to see to write hoping his surgery goes well.

Thank you! The sequel is out next year - will be announcing the title soon. And will also soon have some news about Nina and Eddie...

I own all of his physical books except for Operative 66 which I'm waiting to come out next year. I'd be willing to pay extra for another Wilde & Chase hardcover. On page 138 of River of Night.

10th book in Black Tide Rising series We Shall Rise arrives June 1st for $34. I noticed they put two characters on the covers of this series and one looks realistic while the other looks CGI. 11th possibly coming out later in 2021 or early 2022. On page 208 of River of Night.

News! Just signed a new contract with my UK publisher
@headlinepg. There will be a third Alex Reeve novel coming... but before that, a brand-new Nina & Eddie adventure!

And more news: the second Alex Reeve novel, out next year, has an official title - ROGUE ASSET. The former controllers of the assassin-on-the-run haven't ended their hunt for him, and now other powers want Reeve dead too...

Very nice. Second book might be out right when the paperback of Operative 66 comes out.

I ordered myself Frank Herbert's original Dune this week, and it's due to come in today or tomorrow. Not sure what to expect other than something along the lines of "epic sci-fi for the ages," but I'm trying not to hype it up too much lest I be disappointed if it ends up not being my cup of tea.

Just finished River of Night. Straightforward book with clear cut villains who are definitely evil and introduces the remnants of the US Military who might show up in a direct sequel. Not really science fiction imo unless you consider the introduction of the Yeti in this universe as scifi.

Now I'm on page 80 of At Death's Door.
