Just finished reading At Death's Door. Liked the connections it made with the rest of the universe, now I have more motivation to start the 5 Dream-Hunter books. Now I'm reading A Blight of Blackwings. Didn't have any problems with the 1st chapter sample of Ink & Sigil although I'm sure the translation for the brogue will help.

Started Frank Herbert's original Dune novel yesterday! It's a bit of an intimidating start, what with being dropped right into a whole, super complex universe with countless proper nouns one needs to learn about, but I'm enjoying it so far, and am constantly thinking about getting back to reading more with how odd and intriguing everything is.

Monster Hunter Bloodlines out August 3rd 2021. Looks like a succubus on the cover, but I haven't read any books in this series so not sure. Will start this series eventually as there are authors under the same publishing house I like.

I loved that book as a kid, even read quite a few of the sequels.
It is a complex one but you really get wrapped up in the story.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Villeneuve does with the new film!
Who's the cat that won't cop out when there's danger all about?

I did some research and it seems Jonathan Maberry's books are in some sort of shared multiverse, with shoutouts to authors he's a friend of and their characters/teams he likes, like Seal Team 666, Chess Team, Sigma Force. The character of Joe Ledger is a constant in all the different universes, same character in different scenarios and universes. On page 92 of A Blight of Blackwings and the final book in the trilogy A Curse of Krakens is expected to come out January 21 2021.

Finished reading A Blight of Blackwings. Good high fantasy but the author does redo a concept he already did in The Iron Druid Chronicles. Now I'm reading The Forge of God by Greg Bear. Only read a couple of his books but I did like Eon and The War Dogs Trilogy.
