Yeah the original idea was that Andor would be a single series thing... but once they got into writing it and laying it all out, they realised they'd need a second. The second season WILL be the last, though, leading directly into Rogue One... or so we're told!

will start streaming on January 4th 2023

As announced in Brazil, the release date for Season 3 of
The Mandalorian
has (again) been put back slightly. It is now due to drop on Disney+ on March 1st, 2023 (previously Feb. 22nd).
