photochemical smog is a faaaar bigger concern than CO2's release into the atmosphere. everyone thinks that CO2 is so bad and they make us pay a carbon tax and whatnot...
Ozone, believe it or not is a large concern when it is at ground level and it can end up being a bigger concern.
climate change will always occur and it is just a cycle of life it will continue to change forever.

--------------

Photochemical smog and CO2 are different things with different effects. Photochemical smog is usually not very long-lasting. It breaks down after several weeks to months under normal conditions. Photochemical smog and especially ground-level ozone is harmful to humans. Photochemical smog absorbs and reflects some ultraviolet radiation from the sun, so it has a cooling effect on temperature.
CO2 on the other hand is not directly harmful, and does not break down in the atmosphere. It's primarily a greenhouse gas, which causes global warming. Some of the global warming is compensated by cooling effects of smog particles and ozone.

Atm, there is a huge body of fresh water in the middle of the Arctic Ocean, mainly from all of the meltwater last year. If the same amount of ice was to melt agean this year, it would cause all of the water to move south into the Atlantic, cutting off the Gulf Stream, which is the major heat source for most of western Europe.
Such a event would throw Europe into another "mini" ice age.
